"I'm sorry if my story bored you to tears, Young Miss," Ayse remarked, also sipping his drink. "I don't remember well so I can't give much detail. I can't even remember the color of the kid's hair anymore, let alone what we were fighting over."
Aegri let a huge sip wallow on her tongue, marinating her tastebuds to instantly cool her poorly hidden emotions.
"Well," Captain Banders jested, "at least you've got one thing to remember him by."
"That I do!" Ayse laughed and raised his glass once more.
Mocke sighed jokingly and shook his head. "Either way. We apologize for being insensitive. I'm sure Captain Banders is just a bit tipsy and didn't mean to bring the mood down."
The head officer nodded to Aegri first. Then, he nodded and smiled at the one-eyed young man. "But I'll say it again. To have your skills at such a young age? That's quite a sight. Especially when considering the hardships you must've endured."
