Outside of the massive concrete building, all of Ludok City was at a standstill.
Five police blockades had formed around the behemoth construction site. Between each major blockade, strings of mass-produced cop cars connected the smaller stakeouts at the lesser exits from the unfinished port.
Nearly every cop in the city was gathered at one spot. It was unheard of for such a large-scale operation to take place in the global capital.
But, despite the efforts and negotiations of the city's police chiefs, the policemen had no choice but to accept the impromptu operation. Even combined, they had no authority to question the orders of a royal throne candidate. Especially while the other royal throne candidate was purported to be held captive inside that very port by the biggest criminal names Ludok had to offer.
