ZZZZZRRRRMMM!!
For a split second, the thrumming dymallator boomed, drowning out the storm. And, amidst the veil of vibrant green whisps filling the gateway's ring, a hole appeared. Only darkness was visible on the other side.
"WHOOO!" Ayse cheered as the ship exited the dymension and entered that pitch-black world.
LaRee's throat clenched as they crossed into that darkness.
But once the hole in the gateway was closed, LaRee blinked and realized something. "... This is a night sky? But why is it so dim–"
Before LaRee could finish speaking, the ship was suddenly yanked backward.
However, Ayse was already scrambling to solve the problem. He cranked the hover pads to full power and held on tight to the steering wheel.
LaRee tumbled backward into the wheelhouse wall.
And, a second later, the ship began to level out.
