Ayse shrugged and unplugged the burner. "Maybe it's a different kind of ink. There are all sorts of invisible inks, and each one needs something different to make them visible."
LaRee quickly asked, "How else can I see the message? Do you know?"
"Not exactly. But I may have an idea," Ayse said while putting the small stove away, casual as ever. "There are different solutions you can buy on a modern world.
"However, if that doesn't work, that means it's a classified ink formula. If that's the case, you've got to be careful. Or you'll destroy the hidden message by using the wrong solvents, that's how most classified inks are designed."
Not entirely sure what all that meant, LaRee paused. "... Then… What must I do? What do you recommend?"
Ayse looked back into LaRee's eyes. With no trouble at all, Ayse could feel the dormant emotions behind the archer's forcefully calm eyes.
