Elsie's POV ✨
As the rain poured relentlessly, the street became a chaotic mess of water and mud. So, I decided to give Jayden a ride home in my Mercedes Benz which was one of my cars I usually drive home. I don't know what came over me but looking at Jayden as my employee, he doesn't own a car. I decided to offer him a ride home only because of the heavy downpour. My car had suddenly broken down in the middle of the flooded street, leaving Jayden and I ,both stranded and drenched. My frustration grew with each failed attempt to start the car.
Panic washed over my face as I desperately tried to restart the engine, but to no avail. The frustration in my voice was palpable.
Frustration and worry etched across my face as I repeatedly tried to start the engine to no avail.
"Damn it!", I exclaimed,my voice filled with annoyance. "Why does this always happen at the worst possible time?. Jayden reached out and gently placed his hand on my arm, trying to offer some reassurance. "It's going to be alright, Elsie. Let me take a look at the engine and see if I can figure out what's wrong," he said.
I sighed, my shoulders slumping in defeat. "Fine, but hurry. I don't want us stuck here any longer than necessary."
"Hey, Ms Beckman, it'll be alright. Let me take a look under the hood. Maybe it's just a minor issue," Jayden said reassuringly, unbuckling his seatbelt.
I sighed, my shoulders slumping. "I hope so. This rain is making everything worse."
Jayden stepped out of the car, the rain instantly soaking him from head to toe. Determinedly, he waded through the pool of water towards the front of the car, his shoes squelching in the mud.
As Jayden raised the hood, water cascaded off it, adding to the already drenched mess he had become. He examined the engine, trying to find the source of the problem.
Back inside the car, I watched Jayden with a mix of admiration and concern. My eyes followed his movements, taking in his determination and willingness to help, even in the midst of a storm. It was moments like these that made me appreciate having him by my side.
Suddenly, Jayden's voice broke through the heavy rain. "I think I found the issue, Elsie. It seems like a loose connection. Let me try to fix it."
I nodded, my anxiety slowly subsiding as I placed my trust in Jayden's capable hands. I couldn't help but admire his resilience and resourcefulness in the face of adversity.
As Jayden worked diligently under the hood, My gaze drifted to his drenched figure, his wet clothes clinging to his body. I couldn't help but notice how the rain made his hair glisten and brought out his features in a way that made my heart skip a beat.
Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize that Jayden had fixed the issue and was now closing the hood of the car. He walked back to the driver's side, water dripping from him as he climbed back in.
"I think it should work now. Give it a try," Jayden said, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.
I turned the ignition, and to my relief, the car roared back to life. I felt a smile tugging at the corners of my lips, grateful for Jayden's quick thinking and resourcefulness.
"Thank you, Jayden. I don't know what I would have done without you," Elsie said, my voice filled with genuine appreciation.
Jayden smiled back, his dimples appearing in full display and his eyes meeting mine. "I'm just glad I could help, Elsie. It's been quite an eventful evening, hasn't it?"
I nodded, a soft chuckle escaping my lips. "You could say that. But hey, at least we'll have a memorable story to tell."
As we continued their journey home, the rain slowly subsided, leaving behind a refreshing calmness in the air. The car's interior was filled with a sense of camaraderie and shared experiences.

Jayden's POV ✨
I couldn't shake off the thoughts of Elsie that consumed my mind throughout the evening. Her presence had become a constant distraction, and as I lay on my bed, tossing and turning, sleep eluded me. The events of the evening replayed in my mind like a broken record, with Elsie's beautiful face and alluring figure at the forefront of my thoughts.
Her image was captivating, her eyes sparkling with intelligence, and her smile that could light up a room. I can't deny the strong attraction I feel towards her, and it was starting to become overwhelming. My crush on Elsie was getting out of hand, affecting my focus both at home and in the office.
The next morning, my sister, Harriet, noticed my restless state and decided to offer some advice. She sat down beside me, a concerned expression on her face.
"Jayden, it's obvious that you have strong feelings for Elsie. Maybe it's time you consider telling her about your emotions," Harriet suggested gently.
I scoffed, my eyes filled with apprehension. "Tell Elsie? Are you kidding me, Harriet? She's my boss! Besides, what if she doesn't feel the same way? I could lose my job."
Harriet leaned closer, her voice laced with reassurance. "Jayden, sometimes taking a bold step is necessary. If you keep bottling up your feelings, it's only going to affect you more. You need to find a way to address it, even if it means taking a risk."
I sighed, running a hand through my hair. I knew my sister was right, but the fear of rejection and the potential consequences still held me back.
"Maybe you're right, Harriet, but for now, I think it's better if I try to get over this undeniable crush I have on Elsie Beckman," Jayden conceded.
The day at the office started like any other, but I couldn't help but feel the weight of my unspoken feelings hanging over me. I had to submit some completed tasks to Elsie's office, so I mustered up the courage to knock on her door.
No response.
Taking a deep breath, I let himself in, finding Elsie absent from her seat. I figured she might be in the library, a place where she often retreated to review documents and conduct research.
As I walked down the aisle lined with shelves of books, I caught a glimpse of Elsie's figure in the distance. Her back was turned towards me as she engrossed herself in the sea of files and documents before her.
My heart skipped a beat as I approached her. I admired the way her outfit hugged her curves, accentuating her every contour. My mind wandered to forbidden thoughts, and I quickly tried to hide the physical response I felt, my cheeks turning flush.
Elsie sensed my presence and turned around, facing me with a curious expression. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she noticed the change in my demeanor.
"Jayden, what brings you to my office now?" Elsie asked, her voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and concern.
I really struggled to maintain my composure which went unnoticed by her, my gaze shifting away from her eyes. I nodded, my voice slightly shaky. "I... I came to submit the completed tasks. I apologize if I'm interrupting anything."
Elsie's concern grew, and she took a step closer, studying Jayden intently. "Are you feeling alright, Jayden? You seem... off."
I managed to nod, my eyes avoiding hers. I couldn't possibly explain the internal struggle I was facing at that moment. The growing erection caused by my uncontrollable desires .
A few moments after lunch, I decided to take another pile of files I have worked on to Ms Beckman's office and also remind her about the board meeting this afternoon. I knocked twice but didn't hear a "come in" from her so I decided to allow myself in but I didn't see her behind her desk. So, I figured she was still in the library.
I cleared my throat silently to catch her attention. She sensed my presence and asked of my mission.
As I stammered uncomfortably, reminding Elsie about the upcoming board meeting, she took note of it with a nod. Her concern for me was evident, and I could tell she was genuinely worried about my well-being.
"Thank you for the reminder, Jayden," Elsie said, her voice filled with a mixture of warmth and professionalism. "Please drop the completed tasks on my desk on your way out of my office."
I nodded, trying to mask the pain in my elbow from the fall. "Okay, I will. Thank you, Elsie."
As I turned to leave the library, my mind still distracted by the overwhelming emotions coursing through me, I failed to notice the stack of books and sticky papers on the floor in front of me. With a jolt, I missed my step and found myself falling flat on the ground, the sharp pain shooting through my elbow.
"Ouch!" I hissed, the pain radiating through my arm.
To my surprise, Elsie, who had been about to step closer to assist me, slipped on the same stack of papers and books, falling on top of me. Our foreheads collided, and for a moment, we were both stunned by the sudden turn of events.
I could feel Elsie's body pressed against mine, and our eyes met in an electrifying gaze. Time seemed to stand still as we took in the closeness and the unexpected intimacy of the situation.
My concern for Elsie overshadowed the pain in my elbow, and instinctively, my hand reached up to rub her forehead gently, attempting to soothe her discomfort. "Are you okay?" I asked, my voice filled with genuine concern.
She nodded slightly, her eyes filled with a mix of confusion and something else that I couldn't quite decipher. I couldn't tear my gaze away from her face, captivated by her beauty and the unspoken tension that hung in the air.
Elsie attempted to break free from our intertwined position, but something came over me, and my hands instinctively wrapped around her waist, holding her closer to me. I couldn't explain the surge of boldness that coursed through me, but I couldn't let go just yet.
Our eyes remained locked, and I could feel the intensity of the moment growing. Elsie raised a questioning eyebrow, silently urging me to release her, but I couldn't resist the pull that drew me closer to her.
With a surge of courage, I asked in a hushed voice, "Can I kiss you?"
Elsie looked into my eyes for a moment, her expression unreadable. Then, she nodded ever so slightly, not saying a word, but I could hear her whispered "yes" as clear as day.
Slowly and gently, I closed the distance between us, capturing her lips in a tender kiss. It was a moment filled with a mix of anticipation, desire, and a longing that had been building between us for far too long.
As our lips met, a rush of warmth flooded through me. I felt a connection with Elsie that went beyond the professional boundaries we had carefully maintained until now. She responded to the kiss, allowing me to explore the contours of her lips, deepening the embrace.
Time seemed to suspend as we lost ourselves in the passion that ignited between us. It was a moment of surrender, of giving in to the undeniable chemistry that had been simmering beneath the surface.
However, as the intensity of the kiss grew, a faint sound in the distance startled us both, jolting us back to reality. We quickly broke apart, our breathing ragged, and I could see a mix of surprise and apprehension in Elsie's eyes.
"Jayden," she began but stopped herself from continuing her statement any further.
Elsie cleared her throat and sighed heavily, breaking the charged silence that hung between us. I watched as she turned back to face the shelf, pretending as if nothing had happened. Confusion clouded my mind, but I couldn't deny the underlying happiness that lingered within me.
Without saying a word, Elsie continued to look through the documents, her actions suggesting that our intimate moment was to be forgotten. Sensing her dismissal, I reluctantly turned to leave, my mind still reeling from the unexpected kiss.
As I made my way out of the library, Elsie's voice reached my ears, cutting through the lingering tension. "Jayden, please leave and prepare the boardroom for the upcoming meeting. I'll join you shortly."
Swallowing hard, I heaved a heavy sigh, trying to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions inside me. I couldn't help but linger for a moment, my eyes still drawn to Elsie's form. She seemed composed, as if the kiss had meant nothing to her. Or maybe she was just better at hiding her feelings than I was.
Reluctantly, I tore my gaze away and made my way to my assistant, Rhoda, who was waiting for instructions. As I approached her, I noticed a suspicious look in her eyes, and I couldn't help but question her about it.
"Why are you giving me that weird look, Rhoda?" I asked, my voice laced with curiosity.
Rhoda raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in her eyes. She teased, "Why, Jayden, your face is flushed like crimson red, and I can't help but notice that secret smile on your lips. Did something interesting happen?"
Rolling my eyes, I dismissed her playful banter. "Oh, come on, Rhoda. It's nothing. You're probably just imagining things."
We entered the boardroom together, tasked with arranging the chairs and placing meeting notices and minutes on the desks in front of each seat. As we worked, Rhoda couldn't resist continuing her teasing, focusing on our boss.
"You know, Jayden, you have to take a bold step before someone else sweeps her off her feet," she remarked, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
I cursed silently in my head, frustrated by Rhoda's persistence. Taking a deep breath, I tried to ignore her words, knowing that pursuing a romantic relationship with Elsie was far from realistic.
Eventually, the investors and shareholders started to settle into their seats, including Kevin, Andrew, Amanda, and Rhoda herself. The anticipation in the room was palpable as we waited for Ms. Elsie Beckman to enter and initiate the meeting.
As Elsie walked into the room, her presence commanded attention. She took her seat at the head of the table, radiating confidence and professionalism. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes briefly met, but she swiftly shifted her gaze, focusing on the papers in front of her.
The meeting commenced, with Elsie guiding the discussion and addressing various agenda items. I tried my best to focus on the matters at hand, but my mind kept drifting back to the kiss we had shared.
Throughout the meeting, Elsie's poise and expertise shone through, impressing everyone in the room. As she effortlessly led the discussion, I couldn't help but admire her intelligence and grace.
But amidst the business at hand, a part of me longed for another stolen moment with Elsie, a chance to explore the connection that had sparked between us. However, I knew that such desires were to be suppressed, for the professional boundaries between us remained intact.
As the meeting progressed, decisions were made, and plans were set in motion.
