Chapter 14 - The Master

(Hello everyone! I am back! I hope you all enjoy! I reread my previous chapters and was quite disgruntled with the quality so I will hopefully be improving that in these chapters!).

"After the Treaty of Coruscant, he felt disgusted with the politics of the Sith Empire and felt that the Republic was not the only system that required cleansing. Malgus especially had disagreements with his Sith rival Lord Adraas on various matters and killed him."

Alina's voice echoed throughout the dark room, her soft and silky voice was easy to listen to. She read to her master and her master's master.

As she read she glanced up at the two figures. Kaida's eyes burned into her skull as she rested her head on Ragu's chest.

Alina avoided the woman's gaze, a twinge of jealousy gripped her heart. She watched as Ragu's hand gently rested on his lovers thigh. She wished she had someone like that. Unfortunately none of the other men she had met in the academy were worthy of her love.

In the past week the three of them adjusted well to life in the academy. It wasn't easy, but it was manageable. Alina herself enjoyed it quite a bit.

Originally she had been nervous about what life in the academy would be like. She had imagined it would have been a cutthroat place where she would have had to watch her back every second. Surprisingly that had not been a case. Apparently her status as the apprentice of the 'Beserker' scared off most of the troublemakers.

At this time she finished reading the passage from 'Malgus's Betrayal.' The book was a recent historical record about the reason Malgus betrayed the empire. It specifically focused on the man's love for a woman and how that weakened his mentality.

Ragu frowns, "I expected that they would manipulate the reason he left, but I never thought they would do such a lazy job of it."

Ragu has developed a strong distaste for the modern day Sith. The stories he had believed in his youth had been destroyed in this past week. He found most of the Sith students to be sniveling and cowardly.

Kaida noded her head, "I agree. Even if she weakened his mental state, it's completely illogical to say that he delved into madness over it. Even in the book about his betrayal it's clear what his intentions on leaving the empire was."

Alina listened to their conversation closely. She often found herself in moments like these. It had almost become a tradition for the three of them to start the day like this.

Originally Alina read to Ragu privately, but Kaida had soon joined them and began listening in as well.

Alina disliked Kaida. Maybe it was jealousy over how Ragu looked at her. However, even if she disliked the woman she respected her. In her eyes, Kaida was not much different than a demon queen.

The way she dominated the academy was impressive. Despite being faced by may top level Sith hopefuls, she held her ground and even managed to expand her influence, now having command over nearly 40 other students.

Ragu stands up before stretching his back, almost showing off his abs. Alina looked away quickly. She had long since learned that staring too long would draw Kaida's ire.

"It's time for me to meet my new master." He stated calmly, his light orange eyes glowing in excitement.

He had heard that he had been selected by a very interesting master.

Kaida nodded stood up with a smirk, "Alina and I will in a bit." She says with a smile as she stands up.

Kaida seems to have already met her master and managed to convince her master to also take Alina on as her student. During their joint training, Kaida discovered that Alina also possessed talent for sorcery.

Ragu nods, "Thank you." He said.

"Oh and Ragu?"

"Yes?"

Then she leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Remeber who your master is." With a seductive grin, her hand trailing down his chest.

Ragu's heart thundered in his chest as he couldn't help but to chuckle, "Of course Lady Kaida."

"Good boy." She whispered into his ear. Her lips gently brushed against his skin as she teased him, her royal red lipstick slightly smearing on his neck. Ragu was hyper aware of her soft supple lips on his rough skin.

Aware of Alina's presence he prevents himself from any further action. "Ha. Good luck to you two."

As he turns to leave he bows to Kaida, "Master." He politely stated, formally acknowledging her position.

Right after Alina does the same, bowing her head to him. "Master."

Nodding his head at his student he turns before striding down the halways.

As he headed down the hallways the students all clear out of his way.

Ragu had adapted well to the academy. He felt like a king within these halls and the power was addicting. 'What a bunch of Fucking cowards.' He sneers to himself as he watched the others avoid his gaze.

Ragu dressed lightly, long since having abandoned his robes finding them annoying. He wears a pair of long loose black pants that billow slightly as he walks. His short blade was sheathed across the front his his hips and his longer blade behind him.

He leaves the rest of his body bare, exposing his tribal tattoos and battle scars. To him, this was his way of respecting his people. Leaving them bare for all to see. It also helped quite a bit in intimidating the other students.

The tattoos and scars added to the savage image they had in their heads. The image of his razor sharp teeth tearing through Lazarus's throat still made many of them nauseous at the thought.

Swiftly heading through the halls. He makes his way through the many different doors and passageways until he exits the front entrance to the academy.

Standing there, he gazes over the sandlike world. The dust blew in the wind causing him to squint. 'How strange.' He thought to himself. Stepping down from the academy steps he head into the desert, following the path he had been instructed to take.

Following the path he soon finds himself in a large open area, surrounded by ruins. 'This is where I am supposed to meet her…. So where.'

Before he can finish his thoughts, his instincts scream at him. Immediately leaping forward he drew both blades from their sheaths, rolling in the sand.

The loud bang of a rifle echoes throughout the ruins as a laser blasts the area where he had just been standing.

Gathering the Darkside within him he felt his intense rage bubble to the surface. "Who the fuck his here!" He screams, his voice rippling throughout the ruins as if trying to slaughter his enemy from his voice alone.

As he stand there, hesitating as he continued to glance around warily he hears a sudden, snakelike voice.

"Welcome my student. Your first task is simple. Survive!"
