Chapter 340 - The War Of Olds (2)

It was now night time. King Leonidas hasn't gone to visit Deinekes yet. He had a lot of things to do and one of the most important thing was to meet up with Agathesia; a powerful witch. The only human who knew who the Vampires and Werewolves truly her. The woman who binds the chains with magic that his LOKI LUPIN would use to chain him during a full moon Night.

King Leonidas was sitting in his throne room as he was fidgeting his fingers and finally a knock to the door was heard.

*Knock Knock

A royal guard came in dressed in the royal uniform and with a sword at his waist side.

"Your majesty," the guard said, bowing low as he entered the room. "Agathesia is here to see you, and she wishes to speak with you immediately."

The King looked up from his fidgeting fingers. "Very well, send her in," he said, his voice gruff.

The guard bowed again and turned to leave the room, and a moment later, Agathesia entered the throne room.

"Greetings, My King." Agathesia said as she bowed down her head giving the King the respect he deserves.

"You don't have to bow." King Leonidas said. "I see you as thesame level as me. Only that the public wouldn't see you this way."

"Did you get my message?" King Leonidas asked her.

Then a Worried look could be seen on Agathesia face. "You mean about the dream you had?" She Asked still with that worried look.

"Yes. The dream." The King said.

Last night, he had a dream where he saw his entire pack almost dead and he saw the Vampires standing on top of their bones.

"My liege, the dream is troubling indeed," Agathesia said, her voice laced with concern. "But I must ask, are you sure it was merely a dream and not a premonition?"

King Leonidas considered her question carefully. He had never been one to put much stock in premonitions or prophecies, but the dream had felt so real, and it had left him with a heavy sense of foreboding.

"I cannot say for certain," he said finally. "But I feel that we should take the dream seriously and prepare for the worst."

"But don't worry. I don't think there would be anything that would cause the Werewolves to die." The King said again. "I have even tested my strength with Deinekes and i am way Stronger."

"If a battle comes. I don't see the Vampires winning." The king concluded with a smile.

Agathesia listened to the King's words, but she did not share his confidence. "You mustn't underestimate the power of the Vampires, my liege," she warned. "They are a cunning and devious race, and they have powers that you could not imagine. They may be weaker than the Werewolves in strength, but they are not to be taken lightly. If they come, it will be a fight for the ages, and I fear that many lives will be lost."

The King's smile faltered as he considered her words. "Don't worry. They wouldn't do anything. Deinekes wouldn't allow that."

Deinekes wife had given birth and she gave beat to a Girl. Deinekes first daughter. A broad smile could be seen on Deinekes face as he held his daughter who was who was wrapped in a soft, white blanket, her tiny face peaceful in sleep. Deinekes ran his fingers gently over her soft, downy head, feeling a surge of love and protectiveness well up within him. This tiny being was his daughter, and he would do anything to keep her safe. He looked up at his wife, who was watching him with a smile.

"What should we name her?" he asked, his voice filled with wonder and awe.

"Why don't you name her. Give her any name and i would be okay with it." His wife; Phoebe said. "I would be honored to name her, my love," Deinekes' wife said, her eyes shining with happiness. "I think we should name her after someone special to us both, someone who has given us so much."

Deinekes nodded, knowing exactly who his wife was referring to. "Yes, I think that would be perfect." He said, his voice filled with emotion.

"Then we shall name her after Hecate, the godess who made into i am today." Deinekes said with a smile.

"No." Phoebe said almost instantly. "I disagree. You have a stain in your heart. Calling your daughter such a name would increase that stain."

"I know you still hate Hecate from Turning you into a Va..." She stopped as she didn't want to complete her sentence. "You are human to me even if you have trouble with the Sun as it is your greatest enemy, you are still a human to me."

"You don't have to pretend." Deinekes said with a sorrowful tone. "I am no longer human. The street refer me to as a Vampire and i have grown to accept it. Calling my daughter that name wouldn't increase nor reduce my hatred for that goddess."

"But it doesn't matter whether you think you're human or not," Phoebe said. "You're still the same person to me - kind, compassionate, and loving. No matter what you call yourself, you'll always be that to me."

"What if I end up hurting you?" Deinekes asked, his eyes filled with worry. "What if one day I lose control and end up hurting you?"

Phoebe took his hand in hers. "I trust you, and I know you would never hurt me."

"You know about Blood Lust." Deinekes said thinking about what had happened to him. He remembered that that the first day he entered Blood Lust mood he had almost killed his wife.

"Don't worry about that. Let's name her Melina," Phoebe said, her eyes shining with excitement. "I think it's a fitting name for our daughter. She will be a strong, beautiful, and clever girl, just like the goddess."

Deinekes smiled. "I like it. Melina - a strong and beautiful girl."

"And she'll always have her father's protection," Phoebe said, placing a hand on her belly. "She'll be safe from anything and anyone who might wish her harm."

After sometime about an hour or two. Deinekes was sitting on a sit with his hands folded and he was in deep thinking. His wife; Phoebe walked to him and gave him a kiss to his right cheek.

"Let me guess. It did not work." Phoebe said looking at the confused look on her husband's face.

"Yes, it didn't work." Deinekes said. "She doesn't even have the smell of a Vampire nor a Human. I think we have made another race entirely."
