WHOOSH!
Two Individuals suddenly arrived at another location. These two individuals were Emily Pemberton and Catherine Nightshade. They arrived at what looked like a barn. It was still in the middle of the night.
Emily held her head as she could Still feel pain in her head. It wasn't because of the Teleportation, it was because she was getting weaker. She was still connected to that dark magician's power and they needed to cut the connection. Catherine isn't strong enough. But she knows somebody who can. That's her Mother.
As Emily stood there, looking at the barn door, Catherine walked up to her. "We need to get you back to full strength," Catherine said. "We need to get you back to your Mother. There's a way for her to cut the connection between you and the dark magician."
Emily nodded, looking at Catherine with tired eyes. "I know," she replied. "But he's so strong. I'm worried that he'll be able to track us. What if he hurts my family?"
"That's why we need to move fast," Catherine said.
Emily and Catherine walked out of the barn, and as they did, the full moon shone down on them. The bright light lit up the field they were standing in, and they could see the outline of a small cottage in the distance. It was surrounded by a forest, and a path led up to the front door.
"That's it," Catherine said, pointing at the cottage. "My mother lives there. Come on, we need to hurry."
They started running towards the cottage, their feet pounding on the dirt path as they raced to reach their destination.
Emily and Catherine burst through the front door of the cottage, panting and out of breath. The inside of the cottage was cozy and warm, with a fireplace crackling in the corner. Candles were lit all around the room, and there was a cauldron bubbling on the stove. In the center of the room was a large table, covered in books and potions bottles. It was clear that this was the home of a witch.
Standing by the fireplace was a woman, her hair grey and her eyes blue as the sea. She looked up as Emily and Catherine entered, and a smile spread across her face.
"Welcome, my dears," the woman said, her voice soft and comforting. "Please, make yourselves at home."
Catherine rushed to the woman, throwing her arms around her in a hug. "Mother, it's so good to see you!" she said, tears welling up in her eyes.
The woman wrapped her arms around Catherine, holding her close. "I've missed you so much, my dear," she said. She turned to Emily, who was standing in the doorway, still panting from the run. "And who is this young lady?" she asked.
"She is Emily." Catherine said. "A school friend of mine."
"You have finally made friends." Catherine's mother said jokingly.
Emily walked up to Catherine Mom and greeted her: "Hello," Emily said, a bit breathlessly. "It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Nightshade."
"Call me Louise, Besides we don't bear the name Nightshade for a specific reason" the woman said, smiling and also giving Catherine a wink. "It's lovely to meet you, Emily. And please, make yourself at home. Would you like some tea?"
The name Nightshade belongs to someone that Catherine's mother doesn't want to have any Connection with. This was why she had told Catherine to bear the surname of Nicholas instead.
Emily nodded, still feeling a bit out of breath from the run to the cottage. She sat down at the table, and Louise began brewing a pot of tea. "What brings you two to my home?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"We need your help, Mom," Catherine said, a serious tone in her voice. "It's about Emily here. Something's happened to her, and we don't know how to fix it."
"What's happened?" Louise asked, her brow furrowed in concern. "Perhaps I can help. Tell me everything."
Emily took a deep breath, unsure of where to start. She decided to start from the beginning. "About two weeks ago, I was attacked by a Dark Magician," she said, her voice shaking a bit. "At least that is what i was told. Because I can't remember anything of how i got there or who i am."
"It seems like Catherine would be best explaining it." Louise said.
"Mom. When we entered the place to get her. Me and my friends saw a Vitamore..." Catherine wasn't able to complete her sentence, because her mother snapped instantly and angrily.
"A Vitamore!" Her mother snapped. "What's wrong with you. Are you alright. Did it drain your energy?"
"No. Mom. I am fine." Catherine replied. "For someone who has a Vitamore, you seem too scared for my liking."
"My own Vitamore is understandable and wouldn't go and fist on Humans or living beings like his fellow kind would do." Her mother replied.
"Mom. Catherine is getting weaker and i don't know if it is because of those Vitamore or maybe the Dark Magician is drawing her energy gradually." Catherine replied. "Please can you break the Connection."
Her mother sighed and then dropped her tea on the table.
"Very well," she said. "But I must warn you - this will not be easy. Breaking a connection between a Dark Magician and their victim is difficult and dangerous. Are you sure you want to do this?"
Catherine looked at Emily, who nodded. "I'm sure," she said. "I can't stand by and let this happen to Emily. We have to do something, no matter the risk."
Louise took a deep breath. "All right, then," she said. "We'll need to gather some supplies - and prepare for a long night. Are you both ready?"
"Yes." They said in unison.
"Good," Louise said, a determined look in her eyes. "Then let's get started. We have a lot of work to do." She turned to Emily. "I need to examine you first - to see if the Dark Magician has placed any magical barriers around you." She held out her hand. "May I?"
Emily hesitated for a moment, then nodded and placed her hand in Louise's. Louise closed her eyes, and Emily could feel a warm tingling sensation spread from her hand to the rest of her body. It was a bit strange, but not unpleasant.
Louise just smiled and said: "Catherine take her to the blue room," Louise continued. "It's on the second floor, the third door on the left. Lay her down on the floor, and I'll be there shortly." She turned to Emily. "Just relax, and try to stay calm. I'll do everything I can to help you."
Emily nodded, feeling a bit nervous but determined to see this through. Catherine took her hand and led her out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the blue room. It was a small room, with a few cushions and blankets scattered around the floor.
"Don't worry. My mom is going to help you." Catherine said and then casted a spell on Emily.
Emily instantly fell on the floor subconsciously and wasn't able to move until she passed out. The doors were opened again and in came Louise; her mother. She touched her daughter by the shoulder and said:
"Good Job, My child. Good Job."
