The school hall was filled with students. Both the first Year and Second Year students. As Miller and his friends arrived. Their eyes instantly caught Catherine and Lillian, and they decided to go and sit near them.
Miller had noticed something about Alex. Alex doesn't like to interact with his fellow Vampires. Miller had felt like asking him this question several times but he didn't have the right time.
"Hi Catherine. Hi Lillian." Alex said bringing his hand for a shake.
Lillian shook his hand, but Catherine didn't. She said she didn't like to shake hands with people more often that it made her feel uncomfortable.
Miller and Watson greeted the two girls. Alex being as funny as usual cracked a joke:
"Jeez, another school announcement. Bet it's gonna be the usual - no running in the halls, no talking in class, no levitating above the stairwells..." He said.
They all laughed at the joke except for Miller. This caught the attention of Catherine who had been looking at him for quite sometime.
"Miller what's wrong." A voice spoke inside Miller's head.
Miller looked confused, he looked at them. Catherine gave him a wink.
"I guess, you also have a telepathic ability. Am I correct?" Miller replied back in his head. It was easy for him besides, this was how he had been communicating with the System.
Catherine nodded.
"It's about Emily. Meeting all of us together reminded me of her." Miller said again inside his head. She could hear him clearly because of her telepathy and to be honest she also felt bad.
Even if she and Emily weren't that close. They were still roommates and she had Lillian had almost forgotten about her. Although, that couldn't be said about Lillian, she still thinks about Emily and to the point that Lillian had called The Pemberton's informing them that Emily is missing.
Catherine then used her telepathy to tell Miller that she still hasn't gotten information from a particular person yet. She told Miller that the person was a magician and she can't tell him who that person is. The person is stronger and that he shouldn't worry. The person would take her time and when the person finds Emily. The person wouldn't hesitate to tell her.
The five of them were sitting and were still waiting for the principal to arrive. The school hall was noisy as usual with students discussing here and there. Using his super hearing, he was able to pick the sound of someone sobbing.
He looked at that direction confused. He didn't see anyone sobbing and that's when he decided to use his X-ray
[X-RAY]
Using his X-ray. Miller was shocked to find out who was crying. It was Jason Turner. He was crying in a rest room. The rest room is a little far away from the school Hall. Miller was confused, he knew Jason to be a hard boy. So why would he cry, is it due to Emily's disappearance.
"I would be back." Miller said as he left the school hall.
*Knock Knock
Miller knocked the door of the rest room.
"Jason." He called his name as he kept on knocking. "Are you in there?"
Jason kept quiet. He didn't want anybody to see him crying. Miller on the other hand with his X-ray vision and super hearing (hearing his heart beat) knew Jason was still inside. But pretended like he didn't. Jason didn't want anyone to see him crying. He was the feared school bully in the First Year Students level.
Seeing him like this reminded Miller that everyone has a soft spot, no matter how tough they are.
Jason cleaned his tears from his face and wanted to act normal.
"Go away!" He snapped at Miller.
"I know you are crying." Miller said. Jason was shocked. "We need to talk."
Jason didn't feel like their was anything more to hide. So he finally opened the door and came outside. Now the two of them were only the two left there.
"What's is it?" Miller asked. Miller naturally saw Jason as his foe. Besides, Jason was the first person to bully him in this school and thus Creating a great hatred between the two of them.
"It's... It is.." He stuttered.
"Calm down." Miller said touching him on his left shoulder.
"It's about Emily..." Jason broke into tears one again.
Immediately he called Emily's name. Miller also felt sad that some tears could be seen standing on his eyes. He knew of the possibility that maybe Emily had been killed.
"She is fine." Miller replied.
"How do you know that." Jason said to him.
"I have faith in her. She is strong." Miller said. "She wouldn't die easily."
The sound of the school bells could be heard. It indicated that the School Hall announcement would soon start. The two of them instantly ran to the School Hall.
One thing lingered in Miller's mind. It seems like Jason really cared for Emily even more than he did. He had only be looking at the bad side of Jason, that he didn't even think that he was a Caring boyfriend to Emily.
The school announcement was made about what happened last night; about the fire. Miller, Watson, Alex and Catherine were not comfortable about the whole thing. As for Lillian she didn't have any clue of what happened last night. Last night, unknown to her Catherine casted a spell puting her in deep Sleep.
"Tomorrow The truth would come out. The person who caused this is warned to come out now or face the sereve consequences when caught." Principal Colonel Benjamin Henderson said in a loud voice for everyone to hear.
"A student has gone missing." The principal continued.
Pupils started talking to one another and they also started panicking. It was clear someone was abducting people in this school whenever a Full Moon is near and with the impending Full Moon it is no surprise that a person would have gone missing. The problem is if that person is found. They are most likely dead and there is no way to find who did it. Bring a lot of mistrust within the School Atmosphere.
The killer is in this school, but nobody know who it is?.
"There is no need to panic." He said. "Everything is under control..." The principal couldn't complete his sentence because a student angrily interrupted his speech by replying.
"What do you mean everything is under control. My girlfriend has been missing for up to three days now and you are telling me it's under control!" Jason shouted at him. "Nothing is under control."
"Oooo. Someone is going to get into trouble." Alex Whispered.
There was a complete silence in the school hall. It was an unwritten law that a Student should fear their teachers and their leaders in this school. Seeing Jason doing this. The student couldn't help but wonder what his punishment would be.
"I feel your pain Jason. But that's not the way to settle things." The principal said looking at Jason directly and then looked at the entire crowd of student and continued. "The student who is missing goes by the name of Emily Pemberton."
"I guess, you all know who the Pembertons are. She is related to Blythe Pemberton; The World's president."
"This matter would be taken seriously. I am not telling you to make you panic. But just to be aware and to also make the Abductor aware that they are coming for you." The principal concluded.
*******
At the gate of the School; Fort Valor Military Academy. Three Black jeeps were there. The gates were finally by a soldier who gave a salute to who had entered the school.
They were mutants sent to the school by Blythe Pemberton himself. They came here to find Emily and catch her abductor...
