Chapter 261 - Kill Doesn't Count

Alex's body had now fallen on the floor and from the hole in his chest. Blood could be seen leaving at a fast rate. Alex's eyes started to close, but for some reason, he still felt conscious. It wasn't that he was going to die. It felt like his body was still alive.

From the other's perspective. It looks like Alex was already a dead man. But in reality, he wasn't; at least for now. Blood was rapidly leaving through the hole and finally his eyes closed completely.

After stabbing Alex and he fell Miller started behaving strangely, his wings started to move back inside.

"He is turning back," Watson said happy, but he remembered that Miller had just killed Alex and that smile immediately disappeared from his face.

In Miller's retina. These words were displayed with red colour:

[THAT KILL DOESN'T COUNT]

[THE USER IS GOING BACK TO KILLER MODE UNTIL HE MAKES A KILL]

After those words were displayed, his wings started to grow again and the hope Catherine, Alex and Jacob had instantly vanished.

"Roarr!" Miller roared aggressively.

'What, I thought the System said if he kills even one person he would turn back to normal.' Watson thought. 'Was the System lying.'

Catherine stood up on her two legs. Her wound had finally healed and she was angrier than ever.

"I would beat the hell out of you until you turn back to Miller!" Catherine shouted.

She dashed towards Miller at full speed.

She shouted a spell at thesame time a fire appeared that circled Miller. Miler seeing this flapped his massive wings. The fire didn't extinguish, but instead, it went to his front and started to take the shape of a dragon.

'This girl is bad ass.' Watson seeing this thought.

the fiery dragon reared up before Miller; its body was a writhing mass of flames that twisted and danced with each movement. Its scales glowed like molten metal, the fire flickering and crackling along its body like a living armor. The dragon's eyes were like pits of embers, and its wings unfurled, revealing rows of fiery spikes along the edges. The dragon roared, its fiery breath enveloping Miller in a wall of heat and smoke.

Miller flew upwards and thus dodging the attack. The fire was so hot that it burnt the wall it touched completely.

"No. You have to stop." Jacob shouted. The entire room was shaking.

Catherine was so focused about the fight that she didn't notice what she was doing. The spell she used, she is somehow connected to the dragon and she is the one controlling it.

The fire started to spread around the room.

THUD!

THUD!

The room started to collapse gradually, some parts of the ceiling that have been burnt started to fall gradually.

"Go help Alex." Watson said. "Look his fingers are moving."

Jacob wanted to snap at Watson that Alex was already dead. But when he looked at Alex, he could see the fingers was shaking, which meant Alex was alive.

At where Alex is, Fire had already circled him and would soon engulf him.

Jacob dashed towards Alex at full speed. When he got close to the fire, he jumped. Naturally, he had super speed, and he was currently at his Werewolf state and thus he was much more better.

"NO!" Watson yelled as the fiery inferno threatened to swallow both Jacob and Alex. But Jacob was fearless, ignoring the heat as he scooped up Alex in his arms and sprinted out of the burning room. He hurdled over fallen debris, dodging flames and falling beams as he raced toward the exit. His muscles burned with exertion, his heart pounding in his chest, but he kept going, Alex clinging to him for dear life. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Jacob burst out of the building, the flames licking at his heels.

They were now at the tunnel. Before they left, Watson looked at the burning room and said: "Miller please live."

Back to the fight between Miller and Catherine. Miller was still hovering in the air and dodging the fiery attacks. As for Catherine she didn't even notice the fire until now. She had been ignoring the smell of something burning ever since until now.

"Oh, no." She said.

CRACK!

The Poles that held the room started falling one by one.

"Portus translocatus!" Catherine yelled, raising her hands as a bright light began to envelop her and Miller. They vanished in a flash of blue light, leaving nothing but a shimmering afterimage behind. The magic spell whisked them away to safety, far from the collapsing room and the fiery inferno.

BOOM!

As they left, the untamed fire scattered and burnt the entire room making it collapse in the process.

"THUD! THUD! THUD!"

The ground shook as the building which was the school itself; above the underground structure started to be engulfed in fire, sending a shower of debris raining down. The flames licked at the newly exposed surfaces, spreading rapidly through the ruins. In a matter of moments, the entire area was ablaze, a massive inferno consuming everything in its path. The sound of the fire was deafening, like the roar of a hundred angry beasts.

PUFF!

The fire moved so fast that the entire school building started to burn intensively.

(NOTE: I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS THING BEFORE. THE SCHOOL IS A SEPERATE BUILDING OF IT'S OWN. SO AS THE FIRE IS BURNING. IT'S NOT CLOSE TO THE HOSTEL OR SCHOOL LIBRARY. ALL THOSE ARE DIFFERENT BUILDING ON THEIR OWN).

*******

The fire had caught the attention of the Anti-Meta Human Officers who were in the school.

"Let's extinguish that fire." Bradley Stones Commanded. "If you find out who caused it."

"Don't hesitate to kill him or her." He concluded.
