Chapter 245 - Desire To Kill

THUD!

Miller punched Jason right in the face, and Jason's face hit the nearby chair. It happened so fast that even Catherine, a Dhampir, didn't see his move.

Miller was angry. Jason had just told them what happened to Emily and inside Miller's head all he could think was that it was Jason's Fault. The Anti-Meta Human Officers in the school had already informed them that Secret Magicians were in the school and yet, Jason had caused Emily to go outside so early and she has been kidnapped.

The real reason why Jason's neck didn't break on impact. It was because of the fact that Miller's strength had reduced drastically due to his HP reducing.

Catherine looked at Miller. He wasn't a bit smiling.

"Miller, you have to..." Catherine stopped.

Miller's looked at her with anger as he clenched his fists more and more hard. It wasn't just that; when Miller looked at her, his eyes turned red and it looked like small spikes were starting to come out of his face Unknown to him. But the spikes Immediately went back in and his eyes turned back to normal.

Miller for a few seconds had the desire to Kill Jason because of what he had done. But he didn't feel like such act was worth killing and unintentionally he had almost gone Killer Mode. His body almost changed into the monster the System was talking about.

Even without no desire to kill Miller was still angry. He delivered four more punches to Jason. They were fast. One to the stomach, another to the head, another to the face and another to his chest.

BANG!

Jason hit the chair and with such a great force. Blood could be seen on his lips and it also dripped from his nose. Jason didn't bother fighting back, because he knew he was a fool. It was his fault that Emily has disappeared. What if she was dead? Jason bent down his head in shame and didn't raise it.

Miller clenched his fists more harder and was about to throw another blow.

"Enough." Catherine said as she used Magic to stop Miller's hand from punching him.

When Miller looked at his forearm, he could see something like a robe that was purple and looked like it had no concrete form hold him still.

Miller relaxed a bit calming down his anger. Jason didn't see Catherine use her magic because he was looking at the floor and was still crying.

"It's all your fault." Miller said and shouted the next words. "If you didn't make her go outside so early, nothing would have happened to her."

After those words Miller stormed out of the School Hall with anger. Catherine followed him behind, she could see how angry he was.

"Miller. Miller." She called his name twice but he didn't even answer her or look back. He was still moving forward and then he eventually stopped.

"Just search for a soul when you have time and give me feedback." Miller said those words. His back was still facing her. He didn't even turn to look at her. "I need to ask someone something."

And so he left.

*Knock Knock

Miller was now knocking the room of somebody. He banged at the door disrespectfully like him and the person was going to fight any moment soon.

The door was opened and in was Victor Carter; The First Year Male Hostel Warden. He wore a plain white T-shirt and black trousers and he had those circle glasses on his face.

"What brings you....." Victor stopped. He got offended at what Miller had just done.

Miller stormed inside the room without even waiting for Victor to tell him to get inside. This was an act of disrespect, but right now Miller didn't care about the rules.

"What's with the attitude." Victor said angrily and he closed the door and locked it.

Victor believed that maybe it was something to do with the Werewolves. But he wasn't ready for Miller's question.

"Did you do it." Miller said. Anger could be felt in is voice.

"Do what?" Victor asked confused.

"Did you kidnap Emily Pemberton." Miller said and gradually his eyes were turning red again.

"What Emily was kidnapped." Victor Carter said in shock.

"You are a Magician and she was kidnapped by a Magician." This time fear held a good grip on Victor Carter. This was because he hadn't seen Miller like this before. Miller's eyes had turned red fully. Small spikes were starting to appear at his face and it looked like he was about to turn into something.

"Miller. Calm down. I am not the only Magician in the school." Victor Carter said.

Miller's eyes had turned back to normal and those spikes had gone. He had calmed down a little. Just today, Miller had accidentally almost gone Killer Mode, because of Emily.

"Continue. Which other Magician do you know." Miller said. This time his voice wasn't with Anger, but with curiousity.

Victor cleared his throat. "I am acquainted with a few other magicians," he said, trying to sound nonchalant. "I can't share their names with you, for their safety and mine."

"Why." Miller said. "I need your help. I want you to help me find Emily. Find who took her. Find the Magician that took her."

"I understand your desire to find your friend," said Victor, his voice earnest. "But revealing the identities of other magicians is not something I can do lightly. It could put their lives in danger, and mine as well. I'm sorry, but I cannot risk it."

Miller's shoulders sagged in disappointment. "I understand," he said. "But please, if there is anything else you can do to help me find her, I would be grateful."

Victor considered for a moment, then nodded. "I may be able to help you investigate her disappearance," he said.

A look of relief washed over Miller's face. "Thank you," he said, relief flooding his voice. "I know this must be difficult for you, and I appreciate your willingness to help. I won't forget this."

Victor nodded, his expression slightly more relaxed. "It is no trouble," he said. "I am glad to be of assistance."

There was a brief moment of silence, before Miller spoke again. "So, how do we begin?" he asked.

"I think it would be best if I conducted my own investigation," said Victor, "and then I can report back to you with any findings. I am more experienced in this field, and it is important that the investigation is done thoroughly. I will do everything in my power to find out what happened to your friend, and I will keep you informed of my progress."

Miller nodded in agreement. "Thank you," he said. "I feel better knowing that you are willing to do this. I just hope we find out what happened to her soon."

"I hope so too," said Victor, his tone sympathetic.

Miller was about leaving the room and when he got to the door. He paused for a bit and looked at Victor and said. "I just want one more favour from you. If you find whoever did this. I want to kill him myself."

'At least, i would not feel guilty if i Kill this person. I have a desire to Kill.' Miller thought.
