Watson and Miller had attended all the classes for today and surprisingly Alex didn't attend any. Today classes were only compulsory courses and they were surprised not to see Alex. Today, Miller also caught up some scents in class. It was that of a Vampire. They were much, if he could guess, there were possibly fifteen or more than that number. He didn't bother meeting any of them and he didn't even tell Watson.
Before going to the Hostel, they decided they would go to the Library. Minutes later, they had finally entered the library.
"Hey, Miller. Watson." Someone waved her hand at the two boys. It was Lillian.
Sitting close to Lillian was Catherine. Seeing Catherine brought back memories of what happened to him last night.
'I haven't even asked Watson how i got to the hostel.' Miller thought. 'I could ask him later.'
The two boys stood in front of the girls. Catherine didn't even pretend like they were there. She just focused on her book. The two girls were sitting, while the boy's were standing. Miller noticed that Emily wasn't in the library. So he decided to ask.
"Where's Emily." He asked.
"That's what i wanted to ask you too. She left the hostel very early this morning. She didn't attend any class. I cannot even find her anywhere." Lillian replied. "I don't know if you have a clue of where she might be."
"I haven't seen Emily either," Miller said, worry evident in his voice. "I hope she's okay. She seemed pretty upset the last time we spoke."
Watson was also concerned. "This is not like her at all," he said. "She's always so responsible and on top of her studies. It's not like her to skip classes or not let anyone know where she is."
They both looked at each other, their expressions grim. Something was definitely wrong.
"Maybe we should go look for her?" Watson suggested.
"I agree," Miller said, his voice tight with worry. "We should split up and search the entire campus. I'll check the library, the cafeteria, and the classrooms. You check the residence halls, the student center, and the sports facilities."
"And I'll check the computer labs, the art studios, and the music practice rooms," Lillian added. "Hopefully we can find her somewhere."
They all knew that this wasn't a normal situation, and they were all determined to find Emily and make sure she was okay.
Lillian stood up and was ready to follow the boys. But one person who had not bothered the whole time was still sitting down. Looking at her, Miller could feel a little hatred for her, especially when she almost crush all his bones last night. If it was a normal human, they would have died instantly or does she know that he is not an ordinary human or maybe a Throsk'Bok for instance. The person was sitting down and focused on her book. It was Catherine.
"Catherine Nightshade." Miller said.
Immediately, Catherine looked at him with surprise in her eyes. 'How did he know that name.' She thought in her head.
"Her name is not Catherine Nightshade. Her name is Catherine Nicholas." Lillian chimed in.
'Maybe my Inspect skill got it all wrong.' Miller thought.
"Are you not going to come with us?" Miller asked.
Catherine kept quiet and just turned her gaze back to her book. This offended Miller greatly, it was like he wanted to explode Immediately.
"She's not interested. Let's just go." Watson said to the two.
"Catherine. So you are not coming." Lillian said a little disappointed.
Catherine still didn't reply and was focused on her book.
The three started moving towards the door. After two or three steps. They could hear Catherine's voice.
"Wait." Catherine said. "I am interested. I also want to find my roommate; Emily Pemberton."
Lillian couldn't help, but smile.
"So we would divide it this way. I and Miller would check this part of the school." Catherine said in an authoritative manner. "While you and Watson can check this other part of the school."
First things first, Miller thought she wouldn't remember his name and he didn't like the fact that he was going to do this search thing with her. It was something he was going to avoid. Besides, he is a little terrified of her. For her beauty and her powers that she kept a secret.
"Hmm." Miller cleared his throat and he wrapped his right arm around Watson's shoulders. "I am going with Watson, why don't you girls do it your way and we boys do it our way."
"I understand what you're saying," Catherine replied, "but I still think it would be better if we did it my way. If Watson and you go together, you'll be able to talk a lot will searching, which will make the time go by more quickly. And you're also less likely to find her that way. If me and Lillian go together, we'll do thesame thing and thus time drag on and make it less likely that we'll find her."
Miller frowned. He could tell that Catherine was being stubborn, and he knew there was no point in arguing with her.
"Okay." Both Watson and Lillian Immediately agreed.
Miller frowned and look at Watson. But he had no choice but to go with Catherine now.
"Okay, let's start then. We should be able to use this tracker or so called watch to contact each other." Lillian said raising her watch.
It was the tracker, the Anti-Meta Human Officers had given to every official in the school. Miller didn't like the idea, but right now he could see a benefit. Students and teachers within the School premises can send messages to one another.
And finally they left, Lillian and Watson went the other way. Miller and Catherine went the other way. Little did they know that Catherine had ulterior motives.
'Miller. You are clearly not a human.' She thought. 'This is the perfect time to know what you are capable of.'
