Chapter 206 - A New Roommate

*Knock Knock

Victor Carter, The Hostel Warden knocked Miller and Watson's room door. It was just an hour after the Batch B's arrived and the Hostel Warden was putting them in rooms.

Miller and Watson opened the door and when they opened it. They saw Victor Carter and a new student by his left hand side. His face was unfamiliar here, suggesting that he was a Batch B student. Miller and Watson were the only one in their room and a room is expected to have at least three persons in it. Without telling them, they knew he would be their new roommate.

The eighteen-year-old boy standing beside Victor Carter had a youthful energy about him that seemed to radiate from every pore. He was of average height but carried himself with a sense of self-assurance that belied his young age. His dark brown hair, slightly tousled and unkempt, fell over his forehead, giving him a carefree and adventurous look. His hazel eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement as he took in the new surroundings.

The boy's face displayed a combination of excitement and nervousness, typical of someone entering a new chapter in life. His cheeks held a faint blush, betraying a touch of shyness, but his warm smile softened the edges, making him instantly likable.

The big, sturdy backpack he carried was a reflection of his preparedness and determination to tackle the challenges of the upcoming semester. Its worn-out appearance indicated that it had been on many adventures before and was ready to accompany him on countless more.

As he stood there in the doorway, the boy's body language exuded a mix of anticipation and eagerness, as if he couldn't wait to dive into the college experience and make lasting memories. His posture was slightly relaxed, showing he was open to making new friends and embracing the unknown.

Overall, the boy's physical appearance, coupled with his big bag and the aura of enthusiasm surrounding him, painted a vivid picture of a young, spirited individual ready to embark on an exciting journey at the college hostel.

"This is Alex Justin." Victor Carter; The Hostel Warden said. "He is going to be your new roommate."

"You may walk in." Victor said to Alex.

Alex walked inside the room with his bag and Victor left. Miller and Watson felt odd with a new person in their room, but they needed to act normal. With this new person in the room, they wouldn't be able to talk about Miller's situation about his Killer Mode. They still have to keep that a secret. Miller could smell this boy's scent. It was a strange scent he had never smelt before.

"My name is Miller Edward. I am from Harvestville." Miller said as he introduced himself and brought his hand for a handshake.

The two of them shook hands.

"My name is Watson Simmons." Watson said. He didn't want to reveal where he was from. Watson didn't even trust this new comer.

"I am Alex Turner," Alex said as he gave Watson a hand shake.

Alex was taller than Watson, but he wasn't as tall as Miller.

"So over there." Miller said. "That's your bed."

The bed Miller had just pointed at was on top of his own bed. It was a bunk bed.

"Thanks." The boy said to Miller.

The boy started arranging his clothes and also started preparing his bed like he was about to sleep Immediately.

"That's a beautiful ring." Watson said. He noticed the boy wore a ring on his middle finger.

The ring gleamed with a captivating shade of crimson, its deep red hue reminiscent of a scarlet sunset. Around its band, intricate and enigmatic patterns swirled, like a tapestry woven by an ancient, long-forgotten civilization. Each delicate line and curve seemed to whisper secrets from a distant time, their meaning eluding even the keen minds of Watson and Miller. The gem at its center sparkled like a mesmerizing ruby, casting a mesmerizing allure that drew one's gaze like a moth to a flame. When worn, the ring seemed to radiate an aura of mystery and intrigue, as if it held the key to unlock the universe's most profound enigmas.

"Who made it for you. I really like it." Watson concluded.

The boy; Alex didn't answer him. It was like the boy wanted to be rude. Watson didn't even bother saying any more words again. He just kept quiet.

Miller on the other hand also looked at the ring with amazement. It was true what Watson had said. The ring was truly beautiful.

The boy kept on arranging his bed and didn't answer the two. Miller felt like the boy was keeping secrets from them. The boy had a weird smell he hadn't sensed before, due to Miller's super smelling, he is able to know when a person has an odd smell or not.

"Miller, if you are really that curious, why don't you use your Inspect skill on that item?" The system said.

Miller never knew that his Inspect Skill could also work on items. But due to what the System had just told him. It was a clear sign it could.

[SOLAR SHIELD OR ECLIPSE RING]

[THE RING IS FORMED FROM THE HEART OF A CRYSTLION]

[WHEN WORN, IT REMOVES THE EFFECT THE SUN HAS ON THE INDIVIDUAL]

This words just popped at Miller's retina. Immediately he used his inspect Skill. He didn't understand why someone would need this kind of ring. Or why their new roommate would need it. So he decided to use his inspect skill on their new roommate.

Miller's fear was heightened. It seems like Vampires had just arrived in their school and now one of them was their roomate.
