Chapter 192 - We Are A Team

[HP: 190,000/256,000]

It was a Sunday Morning and when Miller opened his eyes, the first words flickered at his retina were from the system informing him that his HP was still reducing.

As long as Miller doesn't get into a fight, he knew he would be okay. But not okay entirely, the fact that his HP was reducing was a clear sign that the Killer Mode Activation was getting closer and closer.

Miller left his bed and took his bath. Him and his friend Watson went to the School Cafeteria. Miller made up his mind that he was going to find out what really happened to the Vampires. Why are there no Vampires in the School and the best person to ask was Jacob Williams.

After going to the Cafeteria with Watson, he decided to follow him to the library for a while. Miller wanted to go to Jacob's room alone. Jacob Williams as a Second Year Student lived in a different Male hostel from Miller who was a First Year Student.

Miller was still dressed in a black hoodie that covered almost his entire body. He could feel his stamina reducing gradually as his HP kept on dropping. He didn't inform his friend Watson about his gradually increasing weakness, he didn't want him to worry.

On their way to the Library, they meet two girls on the way. Lillian and Emily once again meet Miller but this time they escorted the boy's to the library.

Watson didn't like the fact that these girls were getting close to them just because of Miller's abilities, he wanted them to give them some space. Even other students found it suspicious that Emily and Lillian were suddenly following the two weaklings.

Most girls had dreamt to be in the position of Emily. She is Smart, beautiful, Charming, Intelligent and also has a strong man as her boyfriend and not to add the fact that other guys also found her attractive.

One a normal day, Miller would have been blushing at the sight of Emily. But he was far as too concerned for his weakening state.

Another notification came from the System. He was still getting weaker. Miller was able to behave in a way that the others wouldn't suspect he was getting weaker. He smiled as much as he could, but this didn't go unnoticed by Watson; who knew his friend very well.

They had now all entered the Library, other students were also present on their seperate chairs, some reading a book, while some where on their phone. The library was quiet as it was prohibited for Students to make any noise.

"Why don't we go to the School Garden instead." Emily suggested.

Watson and Miller didn't understand what this girl meant. Miller's aim was to follow Watson to the library and then later go and meet Jacob Williams alone to ask him what really happened to the Vampires. Watson on the other hand had a real zeal to read a textbook. The textbook about Advanced Robotics. Watson wanted to start reading to prepare himself for the Semester.

The two girls on the other hand clearly had other ambitions in mind.

"Come on, let's go." Lillian said as she could see the two boy's looking at the two of them confused.

"Shhhh." Many students who were reading In the library reacted to the noise caused by them.

Miller and Watson left the library with the girls but had no intentions of going to the School Garden. They just went a few steps out of the Library premises.

"What do you think you guys are doing." Watson said. "We are not even friends. Just leave us alone." Watson completed the other part of the sentence rudely.

"You don't have to act rude." Emily said. Then she looked at Miller in the eyes and said. "We are a Team."

"Ha..."

Watson almost laughed out, but he kept it back inside by using his hands to cover his mouth. If not he would have laughed loudly. The fact that him and Miller weren't even close to this girls and now they referred to them as a Team.

To be honest, the both of them didn't even consider these two as acquaintance.

"What makes you think so?" Miller finally spoke. He had been quiet for a while now just bearing his weakness within.

Emily smiled, her eyes locking onto Miller's with a sense of knowing and determination. "Because we know your secret, Miller," she said softly but confidently. "Lillian and I, we've seen what you can do, and we want to help you get stronger."

Lillian stepped forward, her expression serious. "Although we don't know much about Humans with Abilities, but we would like to help you get stronger."

Watson remained skeptical, crossing his arms defensively. "And why should we trust you? We barely know you," he retorted.

"Fair enough," Emily acknowledged. "But you need allies, and so do we. There's something big happening in this school, and i believe it has to do with the Supernatural or beings like Miller who have powers. Miller needs to get stronger it is really really necessary. If things are not happening in this school, why the hell would the Anti-Meta Human Officers decide to stay in this school longer than expected."

Miller hesitated, but there was something in Emily's eyes that reassured him. He knew he couldn't face the challenges ahead alone. "Alright," he finally conceded. "But we need to be careful. We don't know who we can trust."

"Agreed," Lillian chimed in. "For now, let's focus on strengthening your abilities."

Watson didn't know why Miller had agreed to form alliance with these girls, but he knew it was for a good reason. Miller, on the other hand, did it because he needed to level up as fast as possible so that he wouldn't activate the Killer Mode by accident.

"Why don't we go to the School Garden and see how strong you are?." Emily suggested.

And with that, the four of them ventured to the school Garden to test Miller's strength.
