Chapter 163 - Curfew

Many of the people present, except the soldiers themselves and the Anti-Meta Human Officers, started moving to their rooms to stay during the curfew.

Before Miller and Watson could leave, they were blocked by the Werewolves.

"You know clearly, why we are here" Benjamin Carter said with seriousness in his voice.

The pack saw Miller's movement, although Miller wanted to just escort Watson to the Hostel and come back and meet them. They thought, he was trying to escape and didn't want to perform his role as a LOKI LUPIN.

Miller fully understood why he was surrounded by them. He knew what they meant by those words. Miller was trying his best to make sure his friend; Watson doesn't know anything about this.

"I know what you mean, but i have to escort my friend to the Hostel and i would be with you soon, before the curfew starts." Miller said.

The two of them walked passed them and were now heading towards the Hostel. There was a hush silence as they were moving towards the Hostel.

Watson couldn't bear it anymore and he decided to ask his friend.

"Tell me the truth and nothing but the Truth, Are you leaving The room during the time of the Curfew? Why are they suddenly interested in you? Please don't keep me in the dark, tell me the truth." Watson said to his friend.

Miller, on the other hand, kept quiet, as if the question was rhetorical. He didn't give any reply or show any sign like he was going to do so anytime soon. This made Watson so angry and he finally spoke out:

"Damn it, Miller! I'm sick and tired of your secrets and evasions! We've been friends for some time, and now you're shutting me out when things are getting dangerous? I deserve to know the truth! Why are they after you? Why won't you trust me enough to confide in me? We're supposed to have each other's backs, but it feels like you're pushing me away! Tell me what's going on, right now!" Watson said in anger.

"I understand your frustration, Watson, but please try to see things from my perspective. I'm keeping this information from you because I genuinely believe it's for your own safety. There are dangerous forces at play, and I don't want you to get caught up in them. Trust me when I say that I'm doing this to protect you. I value our friendship too much to put you at risk. I promise that when the time is right, I'll explain everything to you. Just trust me for now, okay?" Miller replied in a soft tone.

Watson wanted to say more words, but Miller moved past him in an effort to not hear what he was going to say.

Inside the Male Hostel, a palpable tension hung in the air, thickening with each passing moment. Students scurried about, their footsteps quick and anxious, clutching their belongings close to their chests as they hurriedly made their way to their rooms. Nervous whispers floated through the hallway, hushed conversations filled with uncertainty and fear.

As the clock ticked closer to the designated time, the atmosphere grew increasingly charged. Shadows danced on the walls, casting an eerie backdrop to the collective unease that permeated the space. The knowledge of impending danger weighed heavily on their minds, the gravity of the situation etched on their faces.

It was 5:45 PM, a mere five minutes after the curfew announcement. Time slipped through their fingers, slipping away like sand in an hourglass, counting down to the moment when the world outside would become a forbidden realm. The realization sent shivers down their spines, their hearts pounding with a mix of apprehension and curiosity.

Miller and Watson, having sought refuge within the sanctuary of their room, felt the weight of the impending darkness settle upon them. Watson's hands trembled slightly as he locked the door behind them, the metallic click echoing through the silence. They found solace in the familiar confines of their beds, yet an undercurrent of unease lingered in the room, begging to be acknowledged.

Watson couldn't contain his curiosity any longer. The questions bubbled up inside him like a relentless torrent, demanding answers. His gaze fixed on Miller, eyes searching for a glimpse of truth amidst the shrouded secrets. What did his friend know? What dangers awaited them on this fateful night? The unease gnawed at his core, pushing him to break the silence and seek clarity.

"Please Miller, I can't bear it any longer, i want to know the truth" Watson said to Miller and thus breaking the silence that was in the room.

Miller looked at his friend with sadness, the only way he knew to protect his friend, was if he kept it a secret from him.

*Knock Knock

Someone knocked on the door of the room. With his super smell, Miller knew who was there. It was a Werewolf from the Pack.

Miller didn't bother to give Watson an answer. He just went to open the door. It was Jacob Williams who had knocked and beside him was Isaac Johnson and Lucas Roberts, who were also Werewolves like him.

"It's time now," Jacob said as the other two dragged Miller away, leaving the room immediately.

To Watson it looked like Miller was being bullied by them and he immediately ran outside the room to see where they had taken his friend to.

When he got outside, it was something he didn't expect. They were gone.

(NOTE: THEY HAD USED THEIR WEREWOLF SPEED TO RUN OFF WITH MILLER. SO WATSON WASN'T ABLE TO CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THEM. WATSON STILL HAS NO IDEA THAT THEY ARE WEREWOLVES OR THAT WEREWOLVES REALLY EXIST).

Not seeing them brought worry to Watson's mind. He immediately ran outside the gates and he looked at his left and right and still couldn't find anyone. He was really worried for his friend Why would they take him during this Curfew?

A telepahatic message came from Bradley Stones and It was heard by everyone in the School:

"The Curfew has started, and anyone found outside will be shot dead".

Immediately Watson heard those words. Fear gripped him, he wanted to run back inside the Hostel, but the gates at being shot and he was outside.

BANG!

The sound of Someone shot from far could be heard. It was true what the Anti-Meta Humans said, anyone outside during this Curfew would be killed.
