Chapter 141 - HEKATE (Hecate)'s Demand

HEKATE (Hecate) was the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. She was the only child of the Titanes Perses and Asteria from whom she received her power over heaven, earth, and sea.

Because of her nature, it was forbidden at the time for anyone to have anything to do with that goddess. Although the law, prohibiting anyone from having any dealings with the goddess, was established by the King's father, in his desperate state, the current King had no choice but to seek the goddess's counsel.

"When should we start." The King said to the Witch; Agatheia.

The King's closest servant; Deinades opened his eyes in shock, he knew the king to be a law abiding individual, but right now the king was ready to do what was illegal just so that he could get better.

The king didn't want the next Full Moon to come because he knew that the next Full Moon would be another bad day for him and those around him.

"We can start anytime, it's at your own wish" She said.

"Let's do it this evening," the king commanded.

As the evening descended upon the palace, the air grew heavy with anticipation. Agatheia, the renowned witch, stood before King Leonidas, her eyes shimmering with ancient knowledge and power. The room was dimly lit, casting long shadows that danced on the walls, creating an eerie ambiance befitting the summoning of the goddess Hekate.

Agatheia moved with grace, her hands adorned with intricate silver bracelets, each inscribed with ancient symbols. She began to chant, her voice echoing through the chamber, resonating with the very essence of magic itself. The words she spoke were ancient and sacred, carrying the weight of centuries-old rituals.

As the incantation reached its crescendo, a soft breeze brushed against the king's face, causing the candles in the room to flicker and dance. The atmosphere became charged with a mysterious energy, as if the very fabric of reality was shifting, preparing to welcome the presence of the goddess Hekate.

Suddenly, the room fell silent. The air grew still, as if time itself had paused in anticipation. A radiant glow emanated from the center of the chamber, gradually taking the form of a figure. It was Hekate, the goddess of magic, standing before the king and the witch.

Hekate's presence was ethereal and commanding. Her eyes, deep pools of darkness, held a wisdom that surpassed mortal understanding. Her flowing robes billowed like the night sky, adorned with shimmering stars and crescent moons, embodying her dominion over the nocturnal realm.

The king's heart pounded in his chest as he stood before the goddess, awestruck by her beauty and power. He felt a mixture of reverence and trepidation, knowing that he was treading on forbidden ground. Yet, in his desperation to find a cure, he had summoned the very deity that was forbidden by his own law.

Hekate's voice resonated with a melodic tone, both soothing and commanding. "King Leonidas," she spoke, her voice carrying an otherworldly authority, "you have summoned me in your time of need. Speak your desires, and I shall offer guidance and aid."

The king, humbled by the presence of the goddess, gathered his courage. "Hekate, goddess of magic," he began, his voice filled with sincerity, "I beseech you to grant me a cure, a way to regain control over the monstrous transformation that plagues me under the full moon. I do not wish to bring harm to those I hold dear, nor do I wish to live in the shadows of my own curse."

Hekate's gaze softened, a glimmer of empathy shining in her eyes. She extended a hand toward the king, her touch both comforting and electrifying. "King Leonidas," she replied, her voice laced with a divine compassion, "you did not ask any of the Greek Gods for help, instead you went to an Egyptian god; Wepwawet for help and thus i can't help you."

The King was shocked as to how she knew the Truth, but still remained silent.

"I have only one option" She said. "But i would need him".

Agatheia and King Leonidas turned to the other person she was pointing at which Deinades.

"I can help you by using him, i would grant him Abilities that would strengthen him to be able to confine you on every Full Moon. But i must inform you as a punishment for not asking me for help earlier, i would grant this your servant powers and also great drawbacks". The goddess said.

The king didn't want Deinades to become the God's puppet. "No" The King said urgently.

"I want to do it" Deinades said.

Deinades loved the king as his father and the only way, he knew he could help him was now. The King's attempt to sway his mind off from it was not working. Deinades had already made his decision.

"I am ready," Deinades declared, his voice steady and resolute. "I will face whatever challenges await me."

Hekate's smile held a mixture of approval and warning. "Very well, Deinades."

After those words, the room fell into complete darkness all the candles went off and the goddess HEKATE disappeared, but not before granting them what they asked.

The room was covered with thick mist that made them fall into a deep sleep. The following morning marked the moment when they would discover the true nature of her request...
