Chapter 133 - The Forgotten Identity

Miller slowly regained consciousness, his mind shrouded in a fog of confusion. As his eyelids fluttered open, he found himself in an unfamiliar room, the surroundings hazy and indistinct. A surge of panic washed over him as he tried to piece together the fragments of his memory. What had happened? Where was he?

His heart pounded in his chest as he attempted to sit up, only to find himself weak and disoriented. It was then that he noticed the presence of familiar faces standing around him—Sophie Smith, Victor Carter, and Jacob Williams and the other Werewolves. Their expressions were a mix of concern and apprehension.

"What... What's happening?" Miller stammered, his voice barely a whisper. "Where am I?"

"Miller, it's okay," Sophie reassured him, her voice gentle yet tinged with sadness. "You've been through a lot, but we're here to help you."

Confusion swirled within Miller as he struggled to grasp the situation. Flashes of memories danced at the edge of his consciousness, but they remained elusive, just out of reach. Something was wrong—deeply wrong. The last thing, Miller remembered was after his fight with Jacob Williams, the other Werewolves appeared and one of them by the name Benjamin Carter had beaten him to an unconscious state. But that memory was shaking, until finally even that slightest Memory went blank.

Victor Carter stepped forward, his eyes filled with remorse. "I'm sorry, Miller," he said, his voice laced with regret. "There was an unforeseen complication during the ritual. Your memories... they were unintentionally erased."

Miller's eyes widened in shock, his breath catching in his throat. The gravity of the situation began to sink in, the weight of his forgotten past pressing down upon him. He reached out, desperately trying to cling to any semblance of his identity.

"I... I can't remember anything?" Miller's voice quivered with a mix of fear and disbelief. "Who am I?"

Sophie's gaze softened as she placed a comforting hand on Miller's shoulder. "Your name is Miller Edward," she said, her voice steady. "That's the only memory that remains intact. We didn't mean for this to happen, but we'll do everything we can to help you recover."

Miller's head spun with a whirlwind of emotions—fear, frustration, and an overwhelming sense of loss. The realization that his entire identity had been erased left him feeling untethered, adrift in an ocean of uncertainty.

Victor, his face etched with determination, stepped forward. "Miller, I can perform a memory alteration spell," he offered, his voice filled with a mixture of hope and trepidation. "It will ensure that you forget everything that has transpired since your memory was erased. It's a way to protect you, to give you a fresh start."

Miller's mind swirled with conflicting thoughts. The idea of starting anew, free from the weight of his forgotten past, held a glimmer of appeal. Yet, deep down, an instinctual longing tugged at his heart—a yearning to uncover the truth, to reclaim his lost memories.

"Is... Is there no other way?" Miller's voice trembled, his eyes searching the faces of those around him. "I want to remember, even if it means facing the pain and uncertainty."

Jacob Williams, who had been silent until now, stepped forward, his eyes filled with a mix of empathy and resolve. "Miller, I understand your desire to regain your memories," he said, his voice steady. "We can't guarantee that it will be easy or without challenges, but I will stand by your side. Together, we'll unravel the mysteries of your past."

A flicker of hope ignited within Miller's heart as he looked into Jacob's eyes. The bond they shared, forged through their intertwined past, held the promise of answers and healing. With a deep breath, Miller made his decision.

"No," he said firmly, his voice filled with determination. "I won't let go of my memories. I want to remember who I am, no matter the cost."

Victor's gaze softened, understanding evident in his eyes. "Very well, Miller," he said, his voice tinged with respect. "I will honor your choice. But be warned, the path ahead will be arduous and filled with challenges. Are you prepared to face them?"

Miller nodded, his resolve unwavering. "I am," he replied, his voice steady. "I won't rest until I reclaim my forgotten identity."

"Don't just waste any more time, Victor, just do it" Benjamin Carter; his brother commanded.

Victor Carter touched Miller's forehead with his fingers and said: "Vade ad somnum, Miller et obliviscere."

Immediately Victor said those words, Miller eyes closed and he fell on the floor and slept.

"Jacob, Ethan and Daniel, follow Victor and take Miller to the Hostel," Alexander Reynolds commanded.

The three boys obeyed and they carried Miller to the hostel. On their way, anybody who saw them. Victor would just use a Spell to wipe that person's memory from what he had just seen and finally they had dropped Miller inside his room.

They left and after some seconds, Watson came in.

"Get your fingers of me!" Jacob shouted at Miller as he pushed him backwards a little.

"I am sorry" Miller said in a confused state.

He had just seen how Jacob and his entire pack had turned into what they referred to as a LOKI LUPIN. What really was a LOKI LUPIN. Miller saw everything through the Memories inside Jacob's head as he touched Jacob's forehead. It happened in an instant, he was able to see if everything within half a mili-second.

"Why did you put your fingers on my forehead, are you crazy!" Jacob shouted in anger as he stood up from his seat.

"I am sorry" Miller said apologetically. Miller was asked to do that by the System, and it had greatly helped him, he now fully saw how he had been turned into a LOKI LUPIN through the eyes of Jacob.

The truth is, during that period, Miller saw everything through the eyes of Jacob, whenever Jacob looked away he would see nothing. He could see his body unconscious when the ritual was being performed, he couldn't do anything neither could he speak. He could only watch through Jacob's eyes, but now he was finally free.

Green words from the System appeared at his retina:

[YES] [NO]

Within hesitation, Miller wanted to pick yes, but the sound of the doors opening could be heard, some group of persons had entered the room with them.

Miller recognized them all, he was now inside this room with the fourteen Werewolves and the Wizard; Victor Carter, who is also their first year hostel warden.

"Hello, Miller, we meet again" Sophie Smith said with a Smile. "I know what you are thinking, you are confused, but let me explain what a 'LOKI LUPIN' is and why it is so important."
