After the distressing incident in the cafeteria, Miller and Watson returned to their hostel, their spirits dampened by the encounter with Jason Turner. The weight of humiliation and powerlessness hung heavy upon Miller's shoulders, evident in the somber expression etched across his face.
As they entered the hostel, the watchful eyes of the Hostel Warden, Victor, caught sight of Miller's dejected state. Concerned for his well-being, Victor approached him, his caring gaze fixed upon the troubled student.
"Miller, what happened? You seem upset," Victor inquired, his voice laced with empathy.
Miller hesitated for a moment before recounting the incident, relaying how Jason Turner, a fellow first-year student, had subjected him to bullying and intimidation. He expressed his frustration and helplessness, seeking solace and guidance from the hostel warden.
Listening attentively, Victor nodded understandingly, his mind contemplating a course of action. He realized that Miller needed more than mere comforting words; he needed to empower himself and build the strength to stand up against the bullies.
"Miller, I understand how you feel. But remember, true strength comes from within," Victor began, his voice filled with conviction. "You must become capable of defending yourself, both physically and mentally."
Intrigued by Victor's words, Miller asked, "Do you know how I can become stronger?"
A flicker of determination flashed in Victor's eyes as he responded, "I believe, I know someone who can help you on this path. Someone who embodies strength, discipline, and resilience. Come with me, Miller."
Leaving Watson to collect himself in his room, Victor guided Miller outside the hostel, leading him to a designated training area within the school grounds. There, standing tall and exuding an aura of confidence, was the young soldier whom Victor had mentioned — Peter Lloyd.
Peter Lloyd, who was a seasoned soldier and instructor, possessed a commanding presence that demanded respect. His physique reflected years of training and dedication to his craft. He stood at an impressive height, with a well-built and muscular frame that spoke of his physical prowess.
His chiseled features, marked by the signs of experience, exuded a sense of discipline and determination. Intense and focused eyes, honed through countless battles, observed the world with sharpness and precision. A neatly trimmed beard adorned his strong jawline, adding a touch of ruggedness to his appearance.
Peter's attire showcased his military background, adorned in a crisp uniform that accentuated his disciplined nature. Each crease in his clothing spoke of meticulous attention to detail, reflecting the unwavering commitment he had to his duties.
A sense of quiet strength emanated from Peter as he stood there, his posture straight and unwavering. His presence exuded an air of confidence and authority, tempered by a deep well of knowledge and experience.
As Victor approached Peter with Miller in tow, a flicker of anticipation danced in his eyes. With a firm voice, Victor addressed the soldier, "Peter, I have brought Miller here seeking your guidance. He wishes to become strong and capable of defending himself. I believe you are the right person to train him."
A hint of a smile played upon Peter's lips as he regarded Miller, his gaze appraising and calculating. The soldier's response held a hint of promise, as if acknowledging the potential within the young student.
"How much do i need to pay you" Miller asked the officer. Miller wasn't a rich kid nor was his parents rich. He just thought that it was the right thing to do.
"i don't need your payment, i just need your focus and your dedication". The Soldier said.
"So can i start tomorrow?" Miller asked.
"Tomorrow," the Soldier; Peter Lloyd and the Hostel Warden; Victor Carter both said in Unison and then laughed after those words:
"Ha Ha Ha" The sound of their laughs echoed through the air.
"You are really funny kid" Peter Lloyd, the soldier said. "You are going to start now".
"Now!" Miller said in surprise. He wanted to train but starting now wouldn't be a great option for him. He wanted to rest, he needed to regain himself after the last humiliation he received from Jason Turner.
"Yes, right now, Kiddo" Peter Lloyd said to him: "Most Students want to train with me, but whenever they see how though it really is. They find a way to run away."
"But...." Miller could not complete his sentence Because Victor Stone had stepped in.
"You have to follow his instructions, Miller, don't forget COMFORT IS A MAN'S ENEMY" Victor Carter said as he left the both of them together.
"So what do you have in mind" Miller said trying to flow and somehow raise the determination spirit in his body.
"It's simple, we start with meditation" Peter Lloyd said with a big smile on his face.
Immediately he said those words, Miller was starting to wonder how can Meditation help him in a fight? or was it another name for a Martial Art he didn't know about.
