"System!"
"System!"
"What is it" The System replied angrily.
"I want you to Leave My head right now" Miller said inside his head firmly.
The System did not reply. It acted like Miller wasn't talking to him.
"Can you hear me?" Miller shouted out of anger.
This time, he shouted both inside his head and out loud. which made Watson freeze in place out of fear.
The System still did not reply.
"Watson, we have to get out of here, RIGHT NOW" Miller said as he looked at Watson. "If we stay here any longer and they catch us we would be in trouble and don't forget that our first class for today is around 9AM. we have to go to the cafeteria to eat and relax a little before going to class. LET'S LEAVE, TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE".
"would you explain everything to me when we get to the Hostel?" Watson asked.
"Yes, i would" Miller said as the two left the scene.
*******
They had arrived at the hostel and Watson had sat on his bed and was waiting to hear a Story from his friend. If Watson could find a way to get stronger, he would. He wanted to know how Miller did it in such a short time frame.
"So, how did you do it" Watson said as he tried to break away the silence.
Miller just had a towel around his waist, he was preparing to go the bathroom to a bath. He thought maybe Watson had forgotten what he told him. He just didn't want to get Watson involved in this Throsk'Bok stuff.
Watson on the other hand looked at Miller with confusion. This is the first time since Miller got back that he had noticed Miller's physical appearance looked more better. Miller's abs were now showing clearly. It looked like they had been carved with stones. He now had some chest.
'Did he just get a Little Jacked when he got home?' Watson thought.
"Can't i tell you after the class" Miller was trying as much as best to escape this.
Although The System had granted him experience for The System has now also trusted Watson. Miller on the other hand also trusted Watson to keep his secret, but the problem was he did not want to get Watson involved in any of this. He didn't want Watson to get to close to him, he was scared that the Werewolves might attack him and if Watson is a close person, they might attack Watson too.
He still saw Watson as a close friend, but not one to tell this secret.
"No, you are planning to skip telling me" Watson said in annoyance. He wanted to know what is happening to his friend.
Watson continued: "The other day, i saw how you broke a boy's wrist so easily without even breaking a Sweat, you acted like you were not yourself. This morning you effortless defeated twenty-three boys; A whole Twenty-three boys(Watson emphasized the words Twenty-three) without breaking a sweat. You speed and your strength it looks like Something humans can't achieve. You punched a boys face almost breaking his neck and you almost Killed Jason Turner."
Watson paused, and a heavy silence filled the room: "Are you a Mutant?"
Miller paused, he for once was confused. Honestly speaking, with the new speed and strength that he has that an average human would not be able to attain. Miller looked like he was a Mutant, but in reality he was an Unknown race by the name Throsk'Bok; which he currently knows nothing about. Or where Throsk'Bok another name for Mutants?.
Because Miller looked completely human, except for the fact that he was a better version of humanity. With his heightened senses and now he has finally gained Fast-Heal Ability. An ability that most humans would dream of.
"I honestly don't know" MILLER said in truth.
He did not want to tell Watson that he was a Throsk'Bok. He just felt like keeping him to himself. The reason because if Watson asks him what a Throsk'Bok is? He has no idea. His only Source of INFORMATION would have been the System. But Currently the System did not even reply him. He was just kept in the Shadows of what he really is?.
"You can tell me the truth, MILLER" Watson Said. "You are my best friend and i won't tell the government about you".
Watson said those words Because he believed that Miller was a Human who had turned a Mutant. On This Planet; Earth, A Mutant is forced to join the Anti-Meta Human headquarters to be an Anti-Meta Human travellers soldiers or Anti-Meta Human Officer or be tagged as an Illegal.
Illegals were those that did not come to comply to the government's order and an Illegal when found the punishment was death. In reality, being a Human was far better than being a Mutant. Humans had freedom, but if a person becomes a Mutant, his freedoms are removed and he is kind of a slave to the government orders, without being able to say no.
A Mutant is brought to a Mutant School and when he graduates goes to Anti-Meta Human headquarters to either be a Travellers or an Officer. It's no surprise that most Mutant kids keep it a secret because of this harsh treatment. They even kept it a Secret from their parents, because an Illegal's parents and Siblings were also killed when found.
Watson thought that Miller was a scared Mutant who was trying to hide from the government and thus an Illegal? Did Watson know much about his best friend?.
"Yes i am." Miller lied. Miller was sure he wasn't a Mutant. He was no longer Human, although he had the appearance, he was something called a Throsk'Bok.
The weight of those words were heavy and that was all Watson wanted to hear from his friend. He gave him a Hug as tears also fell through his cheeks Because of his friend. His best friend; Miller Edward is a Mutant and he is not recognized by the government in the Mutant registry and thus; An Illegal and if found by the government would be punished by death.
Watson knew that keeping this secret would make him an Accessory after the fact, which was punished by death. But he just wanted to see his friend alive.
"I won't tell anyone, your secret is safe with me". Watson said as he stopped hugging Miller.
He used his palm to wipe the tears from his cheek.
"It's okay" Miller said as he gave him a little pat on the shoulders.
Miller knew that he had just lied to his friend. But he knew that it was for the better. Watson on the other hand did not bother asking Miller more questions, he just knew that being a Mutant was explanatory enough. Perhaps if he becomes more curious about how Miller became a Mutant, he'll ask him later, not now.
Miller went to the bathroom to take his bath. While bathing, he paused for a second to talk to the System inside his head:
"System, can you hear me?" Miller asked.
"I can" The System replied angrily.
"You've not done what i told you to." Miller said.
"And what's that!" The System shouted aggressively inside his head.
"Leave my Head!!!!" Miller shouted back inside his head.
"No!" The System shouted back.
"Why!!!!!" Miller shouted more inside his head.
And with a soft tone, the System said:
"That's because I Can't Leave".
