it's been a 3 weeks since Christmas and Alex is constantly working on his domain magic, though the result not upto what he wanted, he can only see the things in his domain and cannot use magic restrictions nor spell or runes to modify the domain, but he also learned some things about seals and runes when working on the domain magic.
he improved in alchemy also, he is now focussing on creating a relic that can absorb the spells by converting them into magic, this will help him also to absorb the magic of the spell and avoid some lethal and black magic.
Alex is constantly visiting Rowena's lab along with the forbidden section in order to learn more about alchemy and also about his domain magic.
like this another week is passed, when Alex is in restricted section of library one night, he heard filch and mrs.norris, so he turned off the wand lighting charm and applied the disillusionment charm to become invisible and escaped from mrs.Norris chasing.
unfortunately, he got lost and entered several doors to find the correct, when he opened a room it's spacious and there is only a mirror in the middle of the room, he knew this is mirror of Eris along with this is a test by Dumbledore and wanted to escape only to find Snape and quirell who are arguing in a corner, so he hurriedly entered the room because there is voldemort and also Snape who can sense someone's presence near them.
since he had no chance to escape he decided to let the things flow, he entered the room and looked at the mirror, but he also sensed Dumbledore hiding in this room with the invisibility charm and sure enough when turned he can clearly look through the spell, so he shouted," okay, you caught me,you can come out now professor".
Dumbledore who didn't expect this is stunned for a moment before removing the phantom curse and appeared before Alex , then he praised him by saying," I didn't expect you to see through my invisibility and also sensed my presence Alex, you have good senses and talent". Alex knew Dumbledore's real character in his heart so he decided to play along," headmaster , I didn't expect to see you here, I'm sorry about my late night tours, I will limit myself in the future on the night tours".
Dumbledore almost choked when he heard that, he didn't expect this guy tell something like this to a headmaster, if it had been any other professor they would have clearly given detention by now and also repremend him after those words, but now Dumbledore is more interested in Alex's desire, he learned that Alex and the other three came to know about the philosopher stone through Hagrid and decided to test him.
Dumbledore came forward and said," young people are always yearn for adventure and new things, they also turn bad at this age if they yearned for power, so I won't stop you Alex but remember to not go on a wrong path, this mirror infront of you can show people's desires and because of this mirror many students at Hogwarts become evil doers evn though they didn't want to , just to fulfill what they saw in this thing, I'm also sometimes fascinated by this and looked at myself in it to see if I have a change in desire but it's the same always."
Alex got the meaning of Dumbledore and looked at himself in the mirror to see himself on a majestic throne surrounded by many beautiful girls like Cho, Hermione and others(spoilers, so can't reveal them now),he even saw the goddess herself sitting on his lap and hugging him. Alex blushed at the sight of himself surrounded by them and Dumbledore confirmed about Alex's desires and know he is dreaming about girls, he thinks this is much better than voldemort , but also sighed and said to himself," young people, how did the kid who isn't even 12 years yet is dreaming about girls", Dumbledore at this moment is happy that Alex isn't like the dark lord but also concerned how his future will be.
Alex came out of his daze from his desire on the mirror's reflection and looked at Dumbledore who is also looking at Alex, Dumbledore asked him about what he saw and he said it is about him and his lovers in the future. he didn't say anything else and Dumbledore told him to leave as it is very late and told him to be careful not to be noticed by any other professor as they can sense him and can punish Alex.
Alex just nodded and went to his room in Ravenclaw dormitory, at this moment Snape appeared before Dumbledore in the room of the that mirror and is looking at his reflection with tears, then he asked Dumbledore about what Alex saw in this mirror, he sensed a presence when he is arguing with quirell and thought it's someone else but he eavesdropped on the conversation and found its Alex, but he couldn't hear it clearly and want to know whether Alex will turn into another dark lord , Alex's learning speed and thirst for knowledge terrified Snape.
looking at Snape , Dumbledore replied," what will young people yearn for , our little saviour is thinking about girls and I am afraid he will become a playboy in the future". Snape sneered and said," don't call him saviour or involve him in your plans, you also know it is Lily's magic which protected him from the dark lord, and what is up with this kid always thinking about girls". Dumbledore then replied," am I sensing jealousy from you Severus? it is a very rare thing and even though Lily protected him with magic, it is the child who can confront the dark lord, although weak for now I am looking forward to his future achievements, he is the most talented one I have seen until now, continuously visiting the restricted section , I also looked through the books he read, there is no Black magic or dangerous things, he read mainly about runes, alchemy ,relics and also what puzzled me the most is that he is recently reading about magic used in wide range and about the lost island of Avalon". Snape didn't say anything but after hearing the books Alex read he is also puzzled they are all different things and also thought," why is he reading about myth that none found until now? did he want to go to the ruins of ancients and discover something's?".
Dumbledore suddenly said," well, Severus it's late and my old bones can't keep up if I don't have rest, come to office tomorrow, we can discuss things there while eating honey Duke's new product cockroach clusters".
Snape replied," I will visit tomorrow Dumbledore, but no thanks about the snacks you told me just now, even their name is making me want to vomit".
