Sylvia was working in Selma's kitchen, preparing lemonade for everyone. She sighed in distress, fanning her face with her hand.
"What happened to this weather? How it is so hot today?" She muttered, glaring at the bright sun in the sky as if her glare could overpower the sun's power.
"So you have a habit of talking to yourself?"
Sylvia was startled. She turned her head to see Martin entering the kitchen.
Her cheeks flushed with pink tint as she answered, "No... I just... It is so hot today."
"It is." He didn't say anything further. He only stood beside her, keeping a comfortable distance between them.
Sylvia waited for him to speak more, but when he didn't, she couldn't help but observe him from the corner of her eyes.
Martin was of a similar age to Corbin. With caramel brown hair and green eyes, he was an attractive man. His calmness brought a mysterious aura to his personality.
