Corbin's cries abruptly stopped, and his breathing fastened. Sigerten was confused. He slowly pulled away from Corbin to see his eyes wide open, staring at something behind him.
Curious, Sigerten turned around only to watch in pure shock as a figure staggered forward, dragging its leg with much effort.
Everyone watched in complete silence as that figure stepped out from the shadows.
"What..." White's words lingered in the air as he watched in pure shock.
Sylvia covered in black stains all over her body and a wound on her forehead, dragged her feet forward, coughing.
Her tired dark eyes met Corbin's light blue ones for a fleeting second before darkness clouded her vision, and her body gave up on her, and she fell first on her face.
Corbin was the first one to run in her way, his heart bouncing in his chest, filled with a mixture of emotions. He knelt beside her, trying to wake her up. Her state twisted his heart painfully.
