Chapter 3 - Part 3

Lucius Malfoy sat in the library of Malfoy Manor while sipping on his jasmine tea. His watchful gaze wandered around the room, always ready to defend himself if needed. He had become a bit paranoid since the war ended, he had do admit that to himself and Narcissa always complained about his tension even around family. It was just something he picked up from having his Lord and Master living in his home. He secretly hoped the dark Lord would stay dead so he would never have to bother his precious son with the duty of becoming a death eater. As his thoughts slowly wandered, a loud knock immediately woke him up. He stood up hastily and drew his wand. A scratching sound that came from the nearby window made him feel a little bit more relaxed than before and he made his way over to the big century-old window. On the windowsill sat his owl, a letter in her beak. With a flick of his wand he opened the French doors and his owl hopped into the library. She screeched her letter fell onto the floor. Lucius shook his head in an exasperated gesture and took the letter in a careful manner. "Troublesome owl", he muttered under his breath and opened the mysterious parchment.

His eyes widened comically and his mouth flew open in an entirely un-Malfoy like manner. He gasped and the letter nearly fell on the floor. "Are you crazy, owl?!", he then rumbled in a loud voice. "Harry Potter? How did you even find him?" The owl screeched and Lucius sighed. His seething anger slowly evaporated and he sat down on a nearby chair. "You want me to go and save him, am I right?", he asked the owl which immediately nodded very fast. The blonde Malfoy groaned and hid his head in his hands. "Troublesome owl", he muttered again and the owl just sat silently on the floor without saying a thing. Of course, if it could've talked, it would have said something but as you know, owls can't talk. Lucius finally came to a decision and jumped up. He ran out of the library with the letter in his hand and screamed loudly: "Narcissa! Get here at once! Do we have another room for a child?!"
