They paused hearing Archie burst into laughter, Avril and Lina turned to face him.
He was down bleeding but he had a smile on his face glaring right up at them.
"Even after those years of experimenting and training.....you still return to the evil thing you are " he uttered.
"Archie am sorry, am just not what you want me to be " she let out.
He chuckled, " I told me multiple times to kill you before you got stronger but I always estimated....maybe I....." Lina watched him turn away avoiding her eyes. Tears formed in his eyes.
"You can't say it, can you?" Avril asked.
Archie staggered trying to get up," Shut up "
"Just admit it, all those years raising & watching her grow up made you care. That without knowing you found ways of keeping her alive till now " Avril let out.
"You should just kill me right now," Archie said.
"Why would we do that? Go back to your organisation " Lina said.
"I can't anymore...." Archie looked up, tears streaming down his face as he pulled out something from his pocket.
"My brother, my research, life all gone and it's all because of you " he yelled.
Lina and Avril moved when Archie limped towards them with a raised hand. Avril grabbed him midair, " And here I thought saving you would change your pathetic ways "he whizzed.
"Avril " Lina called distracting him, when he turned Archie shifted what was in his other hand to the free one and used all his power to pierce it into Avril's neck.
Avril frowned turning to him, his hand sliding to the neck and pulling it out.
"What did you do " Lina ran to them pushing Archie away from the now weakening Avril. "Avril, are you okay," she asked.
He fell on his knee huffing, he touched his neck groaning in pain.
Lina stood up grabbing Archie, "What did you do to him ".
"One of. our experiments, it's a poison that reacts to how strong a vampire is, the more powerful he is the more lethal it gets. He can't fight it " he laughed
"Give me the antidote now " she yelled.
Archie smirked, "Sorry little sister, there is no antidote, just watch him die & maybe you will feel the pain of losing someone you care about "
"Lina get to the car " she heard his mother say. Two of his guards had appeared to help Avril up moving to the car.
"Let them not waste time, he will be dead in minutes " she heard Archie laugh.
Avril and the others stopped when the air around shifted, silence covered the whole place.
Avril groaned pushing himself away from his men as they all turned.
It was Lina, she had sucked her fangs in her brother's neck, Archie fell back but she clung to him like a leech and with every suck she took the red strings in her hair got darker.
"LINA!" Avril called and she turned, her lipa filled in her brother's blood, her eyes matching the red strides in her hair. She turned back sinking her fangs back in her brother feeding on his blood.
They all moved back only Avril stayed.
"Son, she has fully transformed, don't go near her she's dangerous "his mother muttered.
"Mom get back in the car now," he said.
They backed into the car and Avril moved groaning in pain to where Lina was.
