He knelt next to her and sighed gazing at her wound, "Can I ask where you were going?" he asked.
"Ah.. going home" she muttered.
He chuckled, grabbed his phone and made a call.
"Tony get me a doctor" he said then hang up. "Now you" his cold eyes turned serious. Lina felt her body tense up.
"I don't need a doctor... I just need to get out of here before I destroy more things" she murmured.
"Try then," he said pointing at the door.
She blinked, Avril stood up waiting for her to try. Lina scowled feeling the pain travel through her body every time she tried to get up.
Avril frowned, "Are you done playing around, you staining my carpet even more"
Lina looked down and saw the red big stains on the white carpet.
"I will pay for dry cleaning" she instantly said.
Avril bent down scooped her up and walked to the bathroom. Caught off guard Lina had frozen up the moment his arms embraced her.
Gently he placed her down and carefully got off the stained bandages. She flinched in pain.
"Don't move" he said holding her feet, she watched him wash the wound and then dressed it. "Let's wait for the doctor to check it," he said.
"Mmm," she answered.
...
Lina after being carried to the living room, Avril disappeared back upstairs. She heard the door open and a woman walked in, she was older she noticed.
Their eyes met and she smiled.
"Morning miss, how are you doing?" she asked.
"Oh, am doing fine, but don't call me to miss am just an intern at his company" she said.
"Hmm, you don't remember me?" the woman asked. Lina looked blank and the woman chuckled.
"I took care of you the night you were here, you seemed a bit drunk," she said. Lina frowned then blinked brightly, "So it was you who changed my clothes that night?"
"Mmm, nice meeting you again, but what happened to your feet?"
"Oh this, I kind of broke a glass last night then stepped on it," she said.
"You should get it checked" Lina nodded. "Let me go get some breakfast ready for you both, excuse me"
Lina smiled and watched her leave.
"Oh God, I have been calling him a pervert when he wasn't. So it wasn't him who undressed me that night but his housekeeper. Lina you so dead" she muttered.
....
"Morning Lilian" Lina heard Avril's voice as he walked into the living room.
"Morning Mr. Alexander. I see you have a guest" she said. They both glanced at the quiet Lina in the seat.
He frowned, "More of an intruder," he said.
Tony walked in with the doctor they ordered him to get.
"Morning boss" he said, gently waved at Lilian then turned to Lina.
She could see he was surprised to see her there but didn't say anything.
"Morning Doctor," Avril said, "Your patient is that pale woman" he pointed.
The doctor greeted him and walked to Lina. Well Avril had breakfast Lina was flinching in pain as the doctor treated her injury.
"It wasn't a deep cut but she needs to rest until it's fully healed or it will worsen," he said.
He prescribed her some painkillers and antibiotics then Tony took him back.
Lilian was busy doing her chores, which left Lina and Avril alone again in the living room.
"You want me to tell you to eat or you lost your vision after drinking so much last night," said Avril.
Lina sighed, "Am not hungry" Too embarrassed to eat or take anything more from him she dare not eat.
He scoffed, "What? I guess you are still full from all the wine you drank last night "
Lina scowled. "But I can't let you die in my house, so eat and take your medicine when Tony returns with them," he said.
He got up and she looked up, "President?" she called.
"Mmm," he turned back, "what?".
"Am sorry" she let out.
He raised his eyebrow, "For what exactly, they are so many that I think of making a list now"
"For everything, a sorry for that night, for the stupid threat and last night too," she said. "Oh, and your nice expensive bedroom carpet" she added.
He chuckled, "Okay"
"Okay? Is that all your going to say... not going to tell me to pay for the food and bottle of wine I took last night... or your carpet? " she asked surprised.
He laughed, "The meal last night was on me and for the carpet, it was an accident"
She blinked and smiled, "Oh... then thank you"
"Welcome," he said and walked away.
