While everyone was still amazed by what they had just seen, Li Yue remained unfazed. After all, he already knew this information from the movie's plot, though now he was experiencing it firsthand.
Once the virtual projection finished, Li Yue stepped forward to pick up the device from the ground. As soon as his fingers touched it, the device transformed into a silver fluid that quickly wrapped around his fingers and coiled onto his wrist. Within two seconds, it reformed into the same silver metal wristwatch it had before.
"Li Yue, your watch is so cool!" Lin Yurou exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She seemed to have forgotten about the shocking alien information they had just learned.
Li Yue didn't respond to her remark and walked over to the monster brain they had just interfaced with.
...
"What should we do with these things now?" Li Yue asked, looking at the giant, now-dead monster brain and the smaller cloned brain still alive.
"Mr. Li Yue, we shouldn't worry about these things anymore. We need to get back to the base and inform the generals about everything we've seen. They need to start the counterattack plan as soon as possible," Dr. Herman said urgently.
"Yes, I don't ever want to deal with these disgusting things again!" Newton added that his previous fascination with monsters had been replaced by aversion.
"Chloe, this monster brain is already dead, and the cloned one won't last long either. So, I'm leaving them with you. They might still be useful for your research. After our counterattack plan succeeds, such monster organs will become incredibly rare," Newton decided, leaving his prized brain to Chloe.
"Is this a gift for me?" Chloe asked with a hint of flirtation in her eyes.
"Uh, I guess so," Newton replied, embarrassed under her gaze.
"Thank you, I love it! I've never had the chance to study a monster brain personally. Even though it's dead, it will still greatly aid my research," Chloe said, finally turning her attention away from Newton and focusing on the brain.
"I'm glad you like it," Newton sighed with relief but also felt a twinge of disappointment.
...
"Alright, shall we return to the base now?" Dr. Herman suggested again, eager to leave.
"Dr. Herman, there's no need to rush. I've already sent all the video information back to the base. The generals should be reviewing it as we speak," Li Yue reassured him.
"Of course! I almost forgot about the speed of technology compared to a plane," Dr. Herman realised, feeling relieved now that the information had been sent.
"Haha, Dr. Herman, you were just overly concerned," Li Yue said with a smile.
"So, can we go see the dinosaurs now?" Lin Yurou asked excitedly, not hiding her enthusiasm.
"What's with you and dinosaurs?" Li Yue said, exasperated.
"Why not? They're living dinosaurs! Aren't you curious to see them?" Lin Yurou responded, her face full of expectation.
"Haha, Miss Lin is right. I'm quite curious about the living dinosaurs too," Dr. Herman admitted, now relaxed and showing his interest in visiting the dinosaurs.
In the end, Li Yue and the others follow Chloe to see the dinosaurs on the island.
"Yay, we're going to see the dinosaurs!" Lin Yurou cheered, rushing out of the lab eagerly.
Li Yue and the others followed. Truthfully, Li Yue was also interested in seeing the dinosaurs, mainly to understand how they had been revived. He didn't fully believe the official story and suspected there were hidden secrets.
After they left the lab, an unremarkable wall inside slowly slid open, revealing a one-meter-wide gap. An older man with greying hair and beard entered the lab.
"We meet again. Thanks to these people for bringing you here," the old man said to the containers holding the monster brains, smiling as if talking to old friends.
"Time is of the essence, and your time is running out. I must hurry," he continued, focusing on the still-active smaller brain. The older man then disconnected the wires from the giant brain and connected them to a helmet-like device he had prepared.
"We shall meet for the second time," he said, placing the helmet on his head and pressing a button.
A powerful surge of energy coursed through his body, causing it to tremble violently.
...
"Hmm?" Li Yue, who had already left the lab, suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong, Mr. Li Yue?" Dr. Herman asked, noticing his pause.
"Oh, it's nothing," Li Yue replied, quickly regaining his composure.
"Interesting. This Jurassic Park indeed holds special secrets," Li Yue thought, smiling with intrigue.
