"What's going on? Did his attack fail?"
The battle garnered bewilderment from the spectators. Tony was the one who exclaimed when he saw that Dormammu's face was still intact—albeit frozen with the giant mouth still open!
"No, look carefully. There's that faint blue line on Dormammu's face!
"That aura that Li Yue just released...it made my heart skip a beat even from all the way over here. I could feel that I won't be able to face that attack head-on, so he couldn't have failed!"
The God of Thunder Thor refuted Tony's exclamation in a low voice. Thor was without doubt the strongest person here, besides Ancient One, so nobody could say anything about his observation!

That special energy was precisely why Dormammu's healing factor failed to activate. All the dark energy that Dormammy gathered to repair his body was simply consumed by that special energy.
And not only the special energy nullified his healing factor, it hungrily ate into his body, each passing second accelerating its consumption rate. Dormammu was utterly shocked by this ferocious energy.

Dormammu was both enraged and frightened by the strange affliction in his body. He could help but yell at Li Yue!
"Me? I didn't do anything. We simply fought each other, how was I supposed to know that you can't defend against my attack?"
Li Yue's voice was completely innocent: he wasn't being sarcastic at all. After all, he even summoned his weapon to have a world-shattering battle with Dormammu.
Li Yue had no idea how to properly use the Trident Halberd, so he simply slashed against Dormammu's attack. He honestly didn't know how strong that slash was.
He had only realized how powerful his attack was after seeing Dormammu's face cleanly cleaved in two, with blue energy slowly consuming the massive face and stopping the dark energy regeneration.
The attack was beyond extraordinary!

Li Yue had obviously grew overconfident. He had thought that this battle would last three chapters like when he fought Homelander!

"You...You're bullying that 'Monster' too much."
Dormammu felt the energy chewing faster and faster through his body. It was already closing in to his purple eyes.
"Forget about those useless things. Why don't you think about my bargain offer? If you agree to leave Earth alone, I'll take the blue energy back. You can still keep your body!"
Li Yue took the opportunity to once again raise the topic of the bargain! This was Li Yue's real goal. Dormammu's body seemed to barely hold together, but it wasn't his real body. Even if the giant form was destroyed, Dormammu wouldn't really die!
"Cease the foolish thought. I will not leave Earth. To think that you would dare destroy the body that I have condensed from purest dark energy through the eons... I swear to consume the entirety of Earth and all the creature on it as payment for this transgression!
"And it would all be your fault! Your arrogance will cause their death! Wallow in endless regret and eternal pain, hahahaha!"
Dormammu seemed to be suffering from something similar to blood loss delirium after his condensed dark energy form had been destroyed. He rejected Li Yue's offer and even threatened Li Yue while laughing.
Li Yue was at a loss. Is this a fake Dormammu? Wasn't he supposed to be impatient when he met Doctor Strange? Doctor Strange had been able to drive Dormammu away just with the time loop spell.
"And yet, why is he like this when it's my turn?"
Li Yue sighed in his heart. He could only watch as Dormammu's huge face was continuously consumed by the blue space energy, slowly disappearing along with Dormammu's laughter.
Although the gigantic face had disappeared, Li Yue knew that Dormammu was far from defeated. Dormammu had long abandoned any physical form, and the giant face was just a mass of dark energy itself.
Dormammu in his current form would be incredibly difficult to defeat: he had no body, so you wouldn't even know where to attack!

Tony asked in confused voice from behind Li Yue. It seemed that Tony and the other spectators had come to Li Yue's side after they saw Dormammu's body disappear.
"Master Ancient One, is this situation still within your expectations?"
Instead of answering Tony, Li Yue turned to Ancient One and asked with a serious tone.
"Do not worry, Li Yue. Everything is within my expectations."
Ancient One didn't seem to be worried about Dormammu at all. She whispered to Li Yue while still maintaining the smile on her face!
" Do you still remember the answer I gave you when you asked me how many timelines ended in our victory?"
"Of course I remember. You extended your index finger.I took it as we only won in one timeline?"
"That's right, and now is the only chance to defeat Dormammu! So, Li Yue, I need you to do me a favor!"
The smile on Ancient One's face remained unchanged as she spoke to Li Yue.
"Don't tell me...do I have to be like Tony..."
The expression on Li Yue's face instantly changed. He didn't dare contemplate Ancient One's words any further...
