Gear 5 was crazyyyyy!!!
[FINN POV]
I've barely known Tim for a few minutes and I can already tell he's going to be a handful to deal with... I guess this must be how Jake felt when having to deal with me.... heh I must have been a real pain.
So after taking in the fact that Tim had passed out for the millionth time I gave him a piggy back ride while holding his bag and began looking for a way out the forest, I tried to retrace my steps back to the entrance of this place, passing the camp site where I found Tim and fought those skeleton warriors, walking through the creepy path with the weirdly shaped trees and owls, passing by the cemetery where I found Tim's bag and finally going back to the entrance i used to enter this wacky place.
But there seemed to be one problem.
The entrance was gone.
And the cave wall where the big gaping unavoidable entrance was, was replaced with a seemingly never ending expanse of green lush plants of the forest. How does something that noticeable just dissappear?
I guess I'll have to just look around a bit more I guess. And with that in mind I needed something to record the layout of the forest so I searched Tim's bag for a book I could use, but could only find some material I think it's called a parchment? And i found some ink in a bottle with a feather.
I'll have to apologise to Tim when he wakes up but for now make shift map making plan is a go. After getting the parchment and feathered pen I packed the bag up and processed to sling it kn one of my shoulders, while carrying Tim.
So for a while I walked around the forest looking for an exit, I left no stone untouched, but no matter how far I looked and searched it just seemed that there wasn't any exit and every time I thought I found one I just some how.mahicslly ended up back in the place where I was from the beginning, and the map was of no help cause even if i managed to retrace my steps back to whatever exit I found it would no longer be there and instead left with more forest, pretty much making the map pointless.
"OH MY GLOB THIS IS TAKING FOREVER!!!"
I exclaimed irritated by my repeated failure to reach the exit.
I need to chill out , getting annoyed over this is not going to really help me find an exit....I'll just relax a bit you know take in some fresh air before I pick up from where i left off.
So after setting Tim on the ground next to me I took a seat on the ground next to him and started taking deep breaths and thinking of things that make me happy, think about meat loaf finn, finn cakes, your flute, hanging out with jake.. I miss jake.
Ugh..... well that was depressing, meh but I still know I'm gonna find him , even if its not immediately I'm still going to find Jake. Plus he's the only one that will understand our signal.
I get this weird feeling of De ja vu that I've done this before, my mind is telling me it's just on the top of my head , it feels very similar to that cave, aggres? Ligress?egress.? Yh! Egress!! That place was just as annoying to escape as this place. Should I try to escape here using the blindfold trick? Nah..... something tells me that's just going to backfire on me in a really really bad way. Plus I can't piggy back Tim while also trying to use the blidn fold trick.
After a while of calming my nerves I contimue my quest to find an exit, with Tim on my back again i start to walk around the never ending forest with new found determination, doubling my efforts in the search for an exit , searching every nook and cranny some times finding an exit but being a second late to get to it, or sometimes getting distracted for a second then missing an exit that disappeared as fast as it appeared.
At this point I feel like this portal has a mind of its own, and is taking pleasure in toying with me, what human would like toying with this face , I mean look at me.
After chasing the exits i was somehow led to a cliff side, with the cliff seemingly living above the clouds with some sort of artificial moon a few levels above the cliff, that was probably made for complementing the stars to bring out there beauty. I decided to sit near the base of the cliff, after setting Tim down and using his bag like a pillow so he wont be uncomfortable, I decided to rest a bit by laying on the very soft grass and taking taking in the beauty of.the sky with its thousands to enormous number of stars in the sky, even though everything here is all artificial it still has a bit of a resemblance to the real deal.
Ugh if only there was something to tell me where the exit was and one that won't dissappear when I suddenly walk towards it.
" I hate it when dungeons have weird exits, one of the demerits of bring an adventurer."
I muttered.
Oh Glob please show me a sign to escape from this dungeon. The next thing i knew a large wooden sign, the kind you would see that was used on theatres suddenly appeared from nowhere and was pointing down below the cliff and below the clouds which seemed to be glowing with a blue light that I'm just noticing now, was that always there before? I doubt that.
Is that really the exit? It's just too.....attention seeking for it to be an exit, I mean after all its been running away from me for so long why would it just reveal itself? This is suspicious, but whatever this would'nt be the first time i'm jumping off a cliff but I'm gonna need Tim's take on this. Time to wake up sleeping beauty.
I then started trying to wake Tim up, but no matter what I did he was really into staying asleep, so I had to resort to a more sophisticated means of waking him up.
I then rubbed my palms together , got into position, bent my knees, and positioned my arm at the right angle before giving him a good slap to the face.
*SMACK*
As soon as it landed Tim's eyes shot open before letting a rather effeminate scream, before he turned to me glarinf at me immediately knowing I was the source of the stinging feeling on his face, oh boy I'm in trouble.
The next few minutes, went on with me explaining to Tim our current dilemma after receiving a rather annoying knock to my head which left a freakishly large bump on my head.
"So your telling me that after your search for an exit that was a failure, that your simple wish or rather exclamation caused a sign to the exit to appear but the exit is at the foot of this cliff.and you want us to jump into the light below the clouds?"
Tim says while looking at me incredulously.
"Yes."
I say without any hint of hesitation in my voice.
Tim grabs Finn by the shirt and glares at him with the most menacing look he can pull of with his ruby red eyes which doesn't faze Finn.
"Of all the weird things I've heard you say and I've seen you do today, this has got to be the craziest thing I've ever heard you say!! You want us to jump of the cliff for an exit that may or may not be an exit!!"
Tim says in anger.
"Yes."
I retorted.
Your over reacting a bit too much Tim, what kind of adventurer is afraid of jumping down a cliff.. although that does sound a bit insane to do but I'm a tough kid I can handle it. Plus we're not gonna be able to find his sister if he keeps behaving like this, I'm going to have to distract him then grab him and jump into the exit while he's distracted. I apologise in advance for this Tim.
"LOOK OVER THERE!! IS THAT A GRIMOIRE!!"
I shouted while pointing at a tree, I didn't really expect Tim to fall for somet like this but he seemed to really want a grimoire cause at the speed he turned his neck to look I would.have thought he was assassinated.
Using this as my chance I held the back of Tim's clothes, dragged him and jumped of the cliff despite his protests. Tim held onto me lole his dear life depended on it cause it did, but i was to busy feeling the wind blowing in my hair causing it to shine in all its glory under the moonlight , the same could be said for Tim but he was to busy screaming his lungs out. As we approached closer and closer to the blue light I really hoped my gut was right about this being the exit.
As our bodies were inching closer and closer to the light I finally saw the exit in all its glory, it was a portal like the one Mr fox and life opened for me and jake to use for reincarnation although the colours are different though, with this one being blue and the previous one being golden in colour, but what caught my eye wasn't the rather large size of the portal or how beautiful it looked, no... what caught my eye was the words written in bold and in english near one end of the portal which said.
*TUTORIAL COMPLETE*
Those were the last words I saw before Tim and I descended into the portal.
I'm gonna find you buddy.
