Tóng's mind slowly whirled back to life. The sounds of rumbling volcanoes and the impacts of meteorites filled his awareness. "What am
I right now? I'm roundish and I've got a rough texture, there's air around me or, no the air is part of me. I can feel it like my arms. I think I might have fused with an entire planet. Huh. Well then… how do I cultivate like this. I'm familiar with the steps of inanimate object cultivation because I was an external cultivator I essentially raised the cultivation level of my tools and formations but surely a whole planet would work differently. Only one way to find out, attempting to initiate Qi Acceptance stage."
Tóng moved his meager amount of Qi into a net shape all around his new body. He left a relatively small opening in the net on one side. He then focused on the effect he wanted, a Qi vacuum. It took a bit longer than he was used to but he expected that given that he was working with more Qi than he ever had before, but it did work. Soon a massive amount of Qi began moving into the opening and Tóng had his hands full compromising the Qi into every particle of the world he now inhabits. "This would be much easier if I managed to possess an organism of some kind but beggars can't be choosers."
One hundred years later the fifth planet from it's star flashed with a light brighter than its parent star. "Finally! That was almost as bad as the cell deification process." Tóng said in relief. He could now feel everything on in and around his new body. "Interesting, I always wondered how it felt to cultivate as one of my artifacts. It must be strange for them to be suddenly aware but not intelligent enough to do anything about it. Well I don't see any reason not to continue to the next step, Qi Gathering Stage." Unlike last time he didn't have to construct a Qi formation he only had to breathe so to speak. Massive waves of Qi flowed through the star system and into Tóng. As this process took place his senses became much better, so much so that when he focused he was able to see and manipulate every single atom that was within his sensory range.
"I'm only in the second stage and I already have access to divine senses! I had to deify five percent of my brain to use divine senses before! Is it just because of the sheer volume of Qi that I have that allows me to do this? How powerful will I be when I begin Qi Condensation Stage? Normal objects can only move themselves once they reach Core Forming Stage but I should be able to move parts of me, like this boulder." He gathered His Qi around the rock and tried to move it like he would have moved his finger, to his surprise the rock moved with great resistance, as if he was moving it with his breath. "I guess something must change once I start forming my core, but that's a long way off, given that it's taken me this long to start actually gathering Qi. Well my life doesn't seem to be in danger anymore, but this isn't really what I was hoping for when I said I wanted to be free from that oppressive world and it's stupid heavenly laws. Just imagine a world where if you wanted to progress you had to fight against the world itself. It's just as ridiculous as someone saying NOTHING WILL BE TALLER THAN 175cm, and… Huh!? What's happening!?"
Mountains crumbled stones split apart until nothing on the surface stood taller than 175cm. "D-did I do that?" Tóng thought apprehensively. "GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE!" He commanded, and his body obeyed. The mountains reformed and the rocks fused back together. Tóng began to feel a little faint. "WHOA! Whatever just happened it used a lot of Qi… Hang on a moment did I just establish a heavenly law?! I need to do some testing, but first I should to gather more Qi, I'm almost completely drained."
The torrent of Qi was so massive that it began to emit a dim glow visible to even mundane eyes. On the second planet from the star which Tóng orbits, life had just begun to emerge from pools of primordial ooze. The the intense currents of Qi, which bonds with the inherent life force of living organisms, actually began pulling the newly formed single celled organisms through space and onto Tóng's surface. Though it will be some time before he realizes their existence, due to his deep meditation. They begin to reproduce and thrive on their new surroundings, and in time they will become the root of all life on Tóng's planet.
