"It is about Lady Celeste, Your Highness." The guard says, lifting his eyes up for a moment to hold Leha's gaze as he speaks.
"About Celeste? What about her?" He asks, his mind starting to rise with all the possible harm that could have happened to Celeste for the guard to come to stand in front of him here like this.
Could prince Eylin violate her? Forced himself on her against her will? That would be horrible. They had offered to protect her, and promised her that nothing out of her consent would happen to her.
"What happened to her?" He asks again when the guard stays silent, no words pushing past his pursed lips.
The guard's eyebrows hunches downward when Leha's question reaches his ears as if he is doubting himself now, debating internally if he should or should not tell Leha what he wanted to say a moment ago.
"It's…" The guard trails off, not having enough courage in him to voice his thoughts.
