The books of Dnumlev Esurlaw– a pseudonym for the mysterious author that managed to catch the scholarly world by surprise – circulated around the late spring of the year 552 of the Runtallian Calendar. The onset of this author's book's popularity revolutionized the entire literary world of Neutomia, pioneering a new genre that made reading a form of entertainment. This innovation, as opposed to a book's tendency to be utilized purely for academic purposes, made Neutomian literature flourished that made an influx of books in the same genre known as 'fiction,' which was defined as a prose that describes or narrate imaginary places, events and people, yet it can also be connected to those that exist in real life, as with the case of Dnumlev Esurlaw's 'novels', a term that was coined soon after the genre was invented. A novel refers to a form of fiction that is basically a lengthy narrative that is entirely, or at some extent, imaginary.
