The Invasion of Balarone and Rozenbourg is the event when the largest nation in Neutomia, the Durfrenian Empire, achieved the peak of its territorial expansion. In the summer of the year 508 of the Runtallian Calendar, twelve of the Imperial legions which amounted to 60,000 infantrymen and an auxiliary force of 25,000 Grimean cavalry (horse archers and mounted lances) crossed the border shared by the Empire and the Kingdom of Balarone. The army was headed by the First and Fourth Cardinal Knights. The former was Sir Laius Reinhart, dubbed as the 'Prideful Hammer of the Empire,' while the other was a legate called the Slothful Trickster, an infamous figure that was almost labeled a stain in Imperial history.
