"She's asleep." Dr. Ivory placed his hand back in his lap. He sighed as he leaned back into the chair. Exhaustion was painted all over his face.
"I think you need to start explaining now." Ent demanded. He crossed his arms over his chest and tapped his foot on the ground. He almost looked like so many of the concerned parents who were convinced that the hospital had screwed up the care of their precious children.
"Right… Kai was a test subject in her past life. That is what I call the time before we all came back. It only seems right, since this future is so different. I'm not sure how much you know, but she did give me permission to discuss it with you."
"A test subject? How is that even possible?" Ent clenched his fists next to his sides as his brain tried to comprehend what the doctor was even saying. He stood over Kai anxiously and hovered his hand over her as if he were going to smooth her hair back, but stopped midway.
