"As we suspected, your DNA has changed quite drastically since your last visit. Have they explained to you what we are researching on hunters?"
Dr. Ivory was staring intently into his tablet as he spoke to me. He glanced my way as I shook my head. A brief frown crossed his face as he began to explain my test results to me.
"In humans there are about 3 billion combinations of base pairs we call chromosomes. That means we usually work with 23 different combinations per human. However, as hunters started becoming more and more prevalent we started noticing differences from what we knew as regular humans."
I could tell that he was dumbing down this information for me, but my mind was still having a hard time wrapping itself around this new information. I remember a lot of the concepts came from high school biology. Maybe I should have studied more.
