"Genevieve Roberts," the Emcee called my name. I stood up from the benches a broad smile upon my lips. At the left side of the stage I climbed out the steps and turn my attention towards the presenter. He handed me my diploma of qualification, an enthusiastic thank you tumbled from my lips. For a short moment I turn my attention back towards the crowd. A loud uproar erupted amongst my friends which quickly lead to the entire crowd joining in. As I sat back down beside Cassie, I look from over my shoulder straight in to Misha's happy expression. He rewarded me with an even bigger smile while nodding in approval. The rest of the ceremony flowed by at a lazy pace. After the conclusion of a smooth running event and a compilation of photos had been taken in random, Giovanni joined our side. Firstly he greeted me with a very excited hug before rotating his responsiveness towards the man that's standing by my side. "I'm sorry about our outburst at Shaun's reception," Giovanni started off. He stretched out his hand and held it out in an apologetic manner. I'm at a loss for words. What are they talking about? Had they met before? Misha firmly fold his hand around my friend's; accepting the apology and respond: "It's all water under the bridge man, let bygones be bygones." I took their unexpected exchange in which turned into some fancy handshake (like they've been friends for years). An arm slumped around my shoulders, a grinning Logan standing by my side. "How's the jaw?" He asked bluntly to which Misha replied nonchalantly: "How's your hand?" This made them laugh out loud before pulling each other in for a manly hug. I stared at the scene in utter confusion. Am I missing something here? The three lads seem to notice my misconception. "Don't worry about it, Vivi," Giovanni said matter of factually. "Yeah Gens, it's a long story," Logan assured me with a smile. I allow it to slip to the back of my mind as we were joined by a couple of our friends: Cassie and Alex.
Cass pulls me into a hug, but just as she released me from her hold, Alex asked impudently: "Is happy Geni getting enough dick?" I swallowed dryly as I pinned her down with my eyes. "What the fuck Alex, where's your filter?" Giovanni gasped befuddled. "What's the matter big boy, uncomfortable much? We're all adults here; surely you can't be ashamed of your masculinity. So I guess my question should be directed towards you Cass," she rubbed the back of her neck before concluding. "Are you getting enough dick? Ryan is b-"She started adding but I quickly cut her off. If I know Alex, which I should by now, I have a vividly detailed idea where this conversation is going. "We get it Alex, you're proud of his manhood. It's nice to offer, but I will have to pass." I could see through the corner of my eye how the men stifled a laugh. Alex nodded at me in appreciation. "Just remember that my offer still stands. Ryan really loves to experiment and of recently he has this urge to have a threesome. I'm all for it," she finished. Well, this just got extremely awkward! Alex never had a filter but something's are better left unsaid. "We're having a BBQ at the house, will you be joining us?" Logan asked hopeful. Both Misha and I agreed to let loose for a while. At the house (where my things are still sorted around the place) Giovanni and Logan introduced our circle of friends to my boyfriend. Seeing how he's clearly making me happy there had been no objections amongst my friends. On the contrary, they seem to be happy for us. Even though Misha had rejected me before, I'm glad that Giovanni and Logan are approving our relationship. I'm glad that their not giving me a hard time about it.
Ever so often Liam would look my way but I'm not sure that I understand the emotion that's lingering behind those eyes of his. Is it envy, jealousy or something else? Even if one of those sentiments were the correct one that's carved into his tanned features, what could possibly be the reason behind it? Are there complications between him and Ella? Or is he simply jealous of what we have? Does Liam envy Misha? Liam can't possibly still be in love with me, I've informed him years prior at some lame fret party that I wasn't interested. I informed him how I've been physically dragged from my room, forcing me to be there where I didn't want to be in the first place. At that time in my life I didn't have time for men and their need to complicate things, because my education had been my first priority. I can still recall his defeated and heartbroken reaction, simply because his crush didn't return his feelings. After he and Ella pulled it off on a great note, I was happy for him, content that he won't have to be as miserable anymore. Seeing that look within his eyes have me questioning my sanity. Something is clearly bothering him but what could it be? As Misha and I enjoy the small gathering my phone vibrated in my pocket. I've turned the sound down for the ceremony and had yet to turn it back up. I pull it out to see who's trying to reach me. Liam had sent me a video, I noticed as I looked at the receivers details. Just above the video is a header demanding me to watch it. The message is written in capital letters. I look up to meet my friend's eyes staring straight at me. Even though a shiver crosses my spine I can't seem to read the meaning behind the light that's shining within his peepers. I opened up the attachment and watched how an argument between Misha and Giovanni unfolded.
