Chapter 24 - The New Hell

The New Hell

Walls Of Sins

The atmosphere was nothing Bishop Daimon has ever seen in his entire existence, indeed he knows basically most things related to heaven and hell but what stood before him was another theory entirely. He hasn't seen anything such bizarre and gothic in his entire revelation.

The sky was red like the sky itself was on flames, the wind was stuffed and almost immobile. There was gravity but to various objects like stones and some other particles, there was no gravity. Bishop Daimon and Clancy doesn't know where they were, the bishop does not know anything within the dimension. He felt as dull as a dullard but the only things he could recognise within the dimension were the seven walls standing before Clancy. They looked like standing tall fences arranged in slight arc facing them and on these walls, Bishop Daimon could transcribe some symbols inscribed on them. To the bishop, it was like staring exactly at an ancient biblical copy.

Knowing what the symbols were, the bishop ordered "Clancy, step away from the walls!"

Clancy was intrigued by the inscriptions but on hearing the bishop's call, he stepped back a little asking "What are those?"

The bishop walked closer to him and Clancy stopped beside him further from the walls. Their eyes glared at the walls unable to explain what they were staring at but the bishop sighed.

"The seven walls of sins!" He said and Clancy looked at him.

"Is this the source of the Unholy Books?" He inquired.

Bishop Daimon nodded negatively and thoughtfully "Maybe, I don't know but if these are the only thing in the middle of the planet, then it's where the Unholy Books were sourced." He explained.

Clancy looked at the bishop and back at the walls "Then, what are we going to do?" He asked again.

The bishop was numb, he couldn't tell what to do or to think of exactly. He has never encountered and ancient inscription as old as time itself, he couldn't even decide if they were suppose to be in the dimension unless they were wanted there. With that thought, the bishop looked around heavily observing the very reality of the domain. He couldn't noticed anything out of the ordinary but based on his former perspective of reality, the domain holds a high amount of unparallel negativity. It was indistinct the reality with the domain itself was established from nether energies, basically the force behind hell's existence.

"Don't touch it Clancy, stay away from the walls." He ordered and Clancy listened. Remembering what William the first told him earlier, the bishop isn't giving any chance of negligence. He was heavily conscious and aware of his surrounding, ready for an unwanted attack but judging by the looks of the domain, it's practically empty.

Clancy who has been having hard time waiting and watching the walls glow pure red and black simultaneously burst out "We can't just stay here the whole day bishop, we need to do something." He said and the bishop nodded "Time's running out."

The bishop extended his arms forward and pages from his waist bible flushed out like thrown leaflets, immediately they rushed out, they enlarged into thin and long leathery threads that aimed instantly at the walls trying to constrict them but a reaction caught them astound. As the holy threads got closer, they vaporized into ashes, ashes that gained invisibility after decomposition.

The immediate attack triggered the bishop off symmetry and he staggered backward, his magic was tactless against the walls. Clancy was attentive of that and he winced in pain while not in pain, he just felt pity for the bishop.

Looking at the walls, he felt a sting. It was more like an order, a control that gave his sight oblivion. His eyes went dark and his body fell like a puppet. The bishop wasn't cautious of this while still trying to stance himself but hearing Clancy drag his feet towards the walls, he stood.

"Clancy!" He called "What are you doing?" He asked but there was no answer then he knew something was up. He thread out from his biblical pages tendrils that wrapped around Clancy like vines but the gentle momentum behind Clancy's motion was unstoppable, it drew him along but with more effort, the bishop tried stopping him.

It felt like his entire body was shut down, locked within himself by a seal. It was hard to decide where he was but he knew he wasn't in control, Clancy yelled within himself but no one heard him, he couldn't even hear himself. There was absolute quietness that sank even the tiniest sound.

Bishop Daimon strained again trying pull him back but for that moment, he knew the body active wasn't Clancy. He's an ascended vampire, superior to a Dhampir both in strength and power but inextricably, Clancy was stronger than him for that moment of pull. He was like a walking mountain, unhindered and unstoppable. He strained and strained but couldn't stop him then suddenly, he felt a stop. He looked forward to see Clancy standing before the walls, he was watching with deep concentration and observation. The bishop does not know what to do, the only sound that whispered into his ears was "Stop Him!"

With that acknowledged, the bishop ran towards Clancy but before he could get to him, he noticed Clancy trying to touch the walls which he knew was prohibited. He augmented his speed but just and inch to Clancy, the Dhampir touched the walls and BOOM!

The tearing uproar that caught the dimension astound sent Bishop Daimon flying back like a sliding stone on water. The eruption was so rigid it tore the very thread of reality within the dimension, the sky divided from the middle like a knife just sliced through and the ground cracked heavily like an earthquake.

Bishop Daimon coughed and groaned heartedly from his back pain, looking at the tearing sky, his mind woke and rapidly he rose. Before him was standing Clancy unhindered by the reality tearing eruption. This brought a mixture of surprise and fear on the bishop's face, he was so surprised he doesn't know if he was to run for his life or just play dead. An explosion as huge as that should disintegrate personalities on contact and while not on physical contact, the bishop felt his body shivering. He knew it was the eruption at work, it was eating everything up including reality itself but the only thing saving him slightly was his bible and his guardian angel. The bible's effort wasn't enough either, so he'll have to leave immediately.

"Clancy!" Bishop Daimon yelled "We've to get out of here!" He yelled again but Clancy never heard him, he just stood before the dried up walls like a statue.

Not long, Clancy locked within himself felt heavy like the weight of his body pressuring him down and like a log, he fell unconscious. Seeing this, the bishop angrily rushed towards him. He was at first scared of holding him but he had no other choice, he gave him a slight rapid touch but nothing happened, he gave it another attempt and still nothing then he carried him on his shoulder.

GROOM!

The dimension roared as the sky tore asunder, the walls cracked falling sector by sector. An heavy wind pummeled into the domain like a large leak turning everything into nothing but literal dust. The bishop telekinetically enforced his divine field with fallen rocked but that wasn't enough, the force slides him back but not heavily. He knew they still have a choice of survival, so he ran forward as fast as his legs could carry him.

The ground cracked and crippled tearing limb by limb before falling into the dept of abyss. The ground shivered and opened up revealing total darkness beneath, an endless abyss to be precise. Bishop Daimon never looked back, his target was leaving through the portal they walked from but something more pieces his awareness. The portal was closing, closing fast. He growled so angrily his mouth let out a furious yell. Lashing out his right arm, divine energies blasted into the portal and after that, the energy modified into a tangible form. With a driven support from the energized rope, they speared out of the domain like arrows before the dimensions itself falls into it armageddon of total collapse.

North Path

They rolled out of nothingness into something like balls falling rigidly on the grassy ground like mallets. Bishop Daimon groaned in loud pain, he felt so stressed and heavily he couldn't move for vast minutes, he just stared at the sky lying helpless on the ground like a child. Clancy was still unconscious, he knew he was still alive for he could hear his heart beats. He tried to move but he was heavily fatigue, he needs to refill. If he was a normal vampire, he would have needed to feed before perfecting himself but as an ascended vampire, he adamantly struggled on his feet. While on his feet, he heard footsteps.

"Clancy!" Was he heard but he recognized the voice to be Catherine. Looking back, he saw Scott, Amelia, Bella and Catherine running towards them.

Scott walked towards Bishop Daimon instead while looking down at unconscious Clancy "What happened to him?" He asked.

The bishop was mute for a second trying to catch his breath, he was just staring at Catherine as she fell beside Clancy feeling his pulse and vitals.

"He's alive?" Amelia asked Catherine and she nodded positively.

"What happened!" Scott asked the bishop and he looked at him finally. Bishop Daimon looked back at the team with disappointment on his face, everyone noticed that on his face and they grew curious including angry Bella.

"What's wrong bishop?" Amelia asked more curious than the others.

Bishop Daimon heaved, his hands on his waist about to utter a word but Bella cut in instead.

"You've a copy of the Unholy Book?" She asked.

The bishop nodded positively "That's the good news but the bad news is Clancy represents the worst of it." He said.

"What did you mean?" Catherine asked standing on her feet.

"What I'm saying is Clancy took everything." The bishop rephrased "Clancy took the whole seven inscriptions within himself."

Scott who couldn't understand the bishop asked again "You know something, what is it?"

The bishop scoffed bitterly "The Unholy Books are just fragments of the seven deadly sins, tiniest portions of their powers but now, Clancy represents the sins, all of them."

"What?" Bella awed.

The bishop heaved "Clancy is the new seven deadly sins!" He finalized.
