William's Ship
Silence prevailed for minutes as they each stared at each other in disturbance, they were thoughtful to be precise except William who just sat before them with his legs crossed humming lyrically like a nightingale.
Realizing the odds of his existence, Clancy became more anxious and so filled with rage he couldn't describe himself. He just stood before William like a statue fluming with bitterness, hostility and covetousness. He looked back his team and back at William. It's hard to decide what to do alone but thinking together with his inmates, they gave him rapid assuring gazes that made him sigh in relief.
"So, what are we going to do?" Clancy asked curiously "How can we maintain the peace when it's already hindered by the councils selfishness?"
William sighed again "That is a tricky question but before I answer that," he rose "Are you willing to sacrifice everything for these power and authority?" He asked Clancy.
Clancy frowned against him, there was no limit to the determination within him "I was born ready and I'll die willingly, not by anyone's choice." He replied stepping slightly before William, they were so close he could feel William's warm breath on his face. It was an act of willingness to William from Clancy, a shady gaze between them that no one observed or noticed.
William scoffed away walking back to his sofa thoughtfully "You're gusty Dhampir, you're at least inferior to my major creations but yet you still have the morale to look up to me! I'm impressed." He said seating on the sofa.
Clancy cleared his breath and walked towards his inmates. On approach, they rose on their feets not knowing exactly what to say.
"We are getting out of here." Clancy spoke.
They were astound by his sudden declaration, they've no idea on how to defeat the councils and they were destined to destroy them.
Bishop Daimon looked at Clancy and shrugged him by the shoulder "What are you doing? It doesn't have to be this way." He muttered silently to him.
Clancy looked at his face noticing a blink of certainty from him but he has made up his mind. He politely shrugged the bishop's hand from his shoulder and replied "Well, we will do it our way then!"
The bishop was perplexed, couldn't reply or even change his mind. He just looked at Amelia, Catherine, scoff and Bella speechless.
"Facing our fear isn't the solution sometimes Clancy!" Amelia said after observing how speechless the bishop was.
Clancy looked at her smothering his black long jacket on his body like a suit and hoisted slightly. He looked down and back at her icily "You don't understand, none of you do!" He responded.
"Make us!" Amelia shouted at him "We've been tailing you for days, I left my statue of authority for you just to maintain peace on the planet but all you care about is only vengeance?" She bombarded.
Clancy's mouth opened like a word was about to rush out but all came out was his stanced breath, he could hardly respond to her female accusations. She doesn't know him, no one does. He looked at Catherine thinking otherwise but he couldn't control himself, the darkness in him is yet to be sealed. He's dying of hatred and anger, his face seems calm but deep down, he's weeping.
"For once, just think for everyone not for yourself alone." Amelia added calmly "we all have sad pasts, we all do!"
Clancy cut in "yeah, obviously!" He chuckled bitterly but with no tears "Has anyone suffered with no mother or father? I don't even know what she looks like, can't describe her scent or imitate her crimson taste." He said trying effectively not to weep "But that wasn't enough and now, Lloyd is dead. The world took everything away from, it took everything I ever cared about and replaced it with nothing but biblical stories."
It was obvious on his red face, even William felt sorry for him but he shook it off his face lightly.
"I believe none of you had that experience." Clancy finalized.
"He was also my father Clancy, he was my biological father. He raised me on a sick bed in his cellar and I'm certain if he was alive, he would have agreed on doing the right thing." Catherine responded to him.
Clancy was arrested by her words, he looked so dumb and foolish everything felt like a sudden nightmare. He was the nightmare but now, he couldn't tell who he was anymore. A hero or a victim, hard to decide.
"Hate to ruin the family reconciliation." A voice hollowed within the room that attracted everyone except William. He sure was attracted by the sudden outburst but he sat calm on his sofa with his legs still crossed awaiting the emergence of his brothers and sister.
Bishop Daimon, Amelia, Bella, Catherine, Scott and Clancy readied themselves immediately a fast short eruption of smoke arose from the ground like the ground just vomited a luminous fog.
The fog was transparent and white but it never covered most of the room, it instead elapsed immediately it emerged revealing Corvinus, Dracula and Lady Sif in their authoritarian glory; black over covered robes that shaded their entire physiques.
On sighting Dracula, Clancy budged forward aggressively like a wild dog held by chains but Bishop Daimon and Catherine held him back reluctantly. He could break free of their restrictions but the serenity on Dracula's face weighed him down like he does not know what he had done.
Dracula noticed the grieve on Clancy's face and the clench of his fists. He frowned in suspicion, his observation cleared his gaze and he looked more at the Dhampir. He wasn't sure if Clancy was paranoid of wanting him dead or because he murdered his mother, it wasn't clear to Dracula either.
William rose and walked towards the councils but stopped before Clancy and his team "What a pleasant visit after thousands of years separation." He said smiling and rubbing his palms together simultaneously.
Corvinus who was extremely angry on sighting Clancy and his team spoke instead without hindrance "You betrayed us William, you betrayed our legacy as the councils of the hidden world."
William chuckled now submitting his hands behind his back majestically "You speak of betrayal like it's a living body." He said "Betrayal isn't in my theory of revelation brother."
"Fuck the revelation William!" Corvinus shouted angrily but Lady Sif brandished him down and stepped forward a little.
"What Corvinus wanted to say was you are about to turn your back against us, your siblings for a revelation that will never come true." She said.
William smiled again looking down and up at them "Wow, that was touching but you know what I saw before reacting against you all? I saw a world of peace, a world of steadied balance, i saw a world of pure harmony but we are never part of that world." He said "We were never!"
Corvinus has had enough but Lady Sif cut him short again "You still have enough time to process things out with us William because once you turn your back against us, there's no coming back." She paused slightly "Surrender the Dhampir and his crew to us peacefully." She said.
William scoffed "Peacefully? What if i choose the opposite of peace for the first time? Not against everything but you guys specifically?" He asked.
The councils exchanged rapid dark gazes before staring back at William. They weren't so shocked by his response, they know William so well, he is a man of proclamation and harmony. He decides and he executes. He'll always go for the positives of all things even if it's turning against his own siblings.
"Then you leave us no other choice!" Corvinus lamented fiercely.
William smiled narrowly looking unprepared but as Lady Sif lashed out her arms along side Dracula and Corvinus, they released a massive amount of chaos energies which William found insulting because he has delt with such force thousands of times crashing against his siblings.
William the first spread out his arms sideways and reality stuffed, space expanded. It was like the room continuously and endless started expanding leaving the attack dissipated by the expansion of space itself.
The three councils never seized, the continued and even enforced the attack until it cracked space itself but William was expecting. He extended space more and reverted his arms causing the expanded space to form a transparent field that encompassed the chaos energy and spaces around it.
Reality shook as an infertile wave was released eliminating the attack in the process, everyone staggered back in their feets but something else caught their attentions. After the attack, the atmosphere rumbled but the sky was clear, it was like the planet itself almost stopped rotating. Everyone felt it, everyone on the planet.
They just triggered the very balance between order and chaos on the planet, as the councils representing order and chaos on the planet, another opposition against each other could cause more than expected. It could rain doom and the ancient evil could surface again.
Acknowledging these, they stopped awaiting the rumbling to die down. They couldn't attack each other, they were prohibited to go against one another because the very balance of the planet was placed in their hands by their father. It was the easiest way of maintaining peace between his sons and daughter but to them, it was another curse.
William and the three councils stared at each other for vast moments, not reactive but peaceful and slowly, the atmosphere cleared up. William was heavily relieved, he never attacked, he just defended but the outcome of his defence alone could cause havoc on the planet.
Angered, Corvinus and Lady Sif turned their backs at him ready to leave but Dracula still couldn't take his eyes off Clancy as he also couldn't take his eyes off him. The gazes between them was intense but Dracula has had enough. He gave Clancy a wicked smile before vanishing with the release of white smokes along his brother and sister.
That alone gave Clancy assurance on what William said, Dracula murdered his mother. He was the murderer he has been hunting for years and still worked for him, he could not wait to lay his hands on him. He wanted him dead, in fact, he wants the councils entirely dead.
With a determined face, Clancy turned William to himself "I'm ready!" He said.
William was at first confused "ready for what?"
Clancy heaved "Ready to fulfill the prophecy and get this over with!" He finalized.
