I will be the most stupid woman in the world if I let you escape under my watch'.
Giavanna smirked as she guided her hands into her trouser's pockets.
Although her smile was harmless, it sent chills down the spine of the guilty ones.
'Back then I can still vividly recall that one of the security guards said that she dropped by his office that night, which means she saw us making love in his office … So what the hell is she up to now?'.
Her once confident eyeballs faltered when she remembered how scared she was that fateful night.
They gave the security guard a hefty sum and made sure he didn't disclose this piece of information to the former chairwoman of Henry's Group.
Eve squinted her eyebrows. She tried to read Giavanna's mind but the lady's acting was too flawless.
With her current expression, it would be hard if not impossible for anyone to guess what went through her mind.
"You were the one who took perfect care of him when I was away. I am not that heartless to ask you to leave. Moreover…," She trailed and shifted her attention to the guy in front of her.
"What do you want my darling here to think of me hmm?" She beamed.
At last, Giavanna moved away from her spot and strolled to join them where they stood.
She held Xander's hand and caressed it gently. She smirked devilishly when she saw Eve's expression turn dark after this.
"Since you want me to stay I have no choice but to do as you have said," She obliged as she played with the tips of her nails.
A triumphant smile crept onto her face as her eyes sparkled.
"You know I can't say no to you right?".
Giavanna's smile widened as she stared at the brazen lady. She so much wanted to rip her into tiny pieces but she tried her best to control herself.
'I bet your heart must want to burst out of your chest due to excitement. You think because I let you stay you will continue to do whatever you want… What you don't know is that this is my era and not yours'.
Her sweet smile turned dark as she glared at the lady whose smile irritated her.
"If you are done, I will leave for work," Xander informed. He brushed her hands away without a care and turned to leave.
"Why don't I go in your car too? I brought mine for repairs," Eve ambled to his side before he could respond.
"You can do that," He replied and tried to walk away.
"Don't be in a hurry to leave yet. I have an announcement to make," Giavanna expressed.
He and Eve spun and gazed at her almost at the same time.
"Announcement?" He asked, not able to hide his shock.
"Come in guys," She called with a clap of her hands.
Instantly two tall handsome guys in casual clothes strolled into the room each with their hands stuck in their trouser's pockets.
Merely looking at them you know they are under the category of men who take their workout routine as part of their lifestyle.
"W-who are they?" He asked as he examined the hot guys with his eyes.
"My cousins," Giavanna blurted and with a wave of the hand beckoned the two guys to move closer to where she stood.
"Your cousins!" Eve and Xander yelled with widened eyes.
"But your parents never had siblings so how could they possibly be your cousins?" Xander growled, his murderous stares shot at the two guys.
Too bad for him, his deadly glares didn't make the guys feel intimidated but more confident instead.
"I never questioned you when you said Eve was your cousin. I believed everything as a fool so why is your reaction so different...,"
"That is because Eve is really my cousin while your situation is different so how do you compare the two?" Xander spat, veins popping out from his forehead as he spoke.
"Gia, you can't just bring random men into our home...,"
"And how come my friends are random people while I have always treated yours like Kings and Queens?" Giavanna snapped, her stern eyeballs locked with his.
If this was in the past he wouldn't have dared to raise her voice at him. And this was because she always considered his feelings above hers.
Unfortunately for him, he lost that one privilege after what he did.
"Gia...,"
"This is Roman and Zeus. They are the two friends I made and they will be living with us...,"
"They will be living with us?" Eve screamed, her index finger pointed at the two guys who hadn't uttered a word ever since they got there.
"Tell me that was a joke, Gia?" Xander retorted.
"I wished that was the case," Giavanna, who didn't care the slightest bit about their feelings, muttered.
"That is all I wanted to tell you. I will go to my room upstairs," Giavanna said and turned to leave.
But only for her hand to be grabbed and violently pulled back to her previous position.
"How could you just leave after telling us that we will be sharing our home with two strangers we don't know....,"
"Our house is big enough to contain at least twenty people so why are you so affected by their presence?" Giavanna startled.
