"Also, indeed, I might not exist in her memories or life but she exists in mine and that is all that matters," Tristan asserted.
He stomped towards the entrance before Dominic could stop him.
"You barely returned, so where are you going again?" Dominic demanded. He kept his eyes on the back of the guy who halted in front of the door.
"To continue from where I stopped... as you know she needs my help more than ever now," He replied and continued to walk away immediately.
"That little..." Thomas grabbed his hand and shook his head in disapproval.
"I need to stop him or that idiot will get himself killed by her..."
"He is so furious right now. I doubt he will listen to you," Thomas interrupted. He didn't make the mistake of letting go of Dominic's hand.
The last thing he wanted was to see the two siblings who love themselves more than anything else in the world fight because of a woman.
Thomas only released his hand after they both heard Tristan's car drive out of the premises.
"Can you now see what I was telling you?" Dominic hissed, his fists clenched.
He stomped towards where three green couches were neatly arranged around the glass centre table.
"Tristan has always listened to what you said. I bet he will come around after cooling off...,"
"I wish that were the case," He retorted as he shot the sunflower vase laid on the centre table a deadly glare as if it were the cause of his anger.
Back at Giavanna's mansion, the newly returned lady wasn't spared from another shock when she entered her room and realised that Eve had also taken over her room.
"I had planned to take my sweet time dealing with them but I guess there will have to be a change of plans. And this is nobody's fault except theirs for provoking me," Giavanna growled, her murderous stares shot at the lady's picture hung at the exact spot hers and her mother's photo frame normally hung.
"So what are you planning to do now?" Zeus, who loves adventure and exploring new things, asked. One could see his eyes sparkle as he waited for her reply.
"We are gonna put on a show," She announced. Her lips curled to reveal a sinister smile.
"A show?" Roman squinted his eyebrows. He peered at Giavanna's face through the enormous mirror in front of them instead of looking at her face directly.
"Yes, although I hate his guts that doesn't change the fact that I am still his legal wife... and what do you think happens when the legal wife returns?" Giavanna mumbled.
She spun and strolled to where Eve's picture frame hung. The two guys followed her closely.
"What usually happens?" Zeus and Roman said in unison.
They watched as she raised her hand and removed the photo frame from where it hung.
"The legal wife always shows the mistress her rightful place..." she trailed off as she stabbed a deadly glare at Eve's smiling face. It was as if the photo frame had miraculously turned to Eve.
"Ruining a single photo frame might be considered a mistake but not when you break two in less than an hour...,"
"And who said I was going to break it," She scoffed and shove the photo frame into Zeus's chest.
"Hang that and let's go and start planning my husband's reunion party with me," She instructed. She swerved and strolled out of the spacious room with her hands in her trouser pockets.
Giavanna who looked like she was in a hurry, paused at the door and took another glance at the vast room whose entire arrangement was different from a year ago.
Although her family was the wealthiest in the entire country, she has never for once indulged in frivolities.
In fact, she has always been too ill to be able to do things normal humans do. For as long as she could remember she has spent most of her life in this mansion.
She only started going out occasionally during these past years. Even at that her dearest mother's men always watch over her since she has never been at ease due to her daughter's health issues.
"All I have ever wanted was to live a peaceful life with the one I love and my mother but you both stole that away from me...," Giavanna muttered, her hands balled into a fist.
"And you both will pay dearly for this, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a family for a family. This is my principle so look forward to how I will take my revenge from now on," She declared.
She spun and strolled out of the room she felt like tearing down at that very moment.
Giavanna waited the entire day for her husband's return but he didn't come back even when office hours were long over.
At 10:30 pm, they finally came back but only to be greeted with a dark building with no maids around.
"Why is it so dark in here?" Eve grumbled. As she tried to remove her cell phone from her handbag, she and Xander treaded around the pitch-black sitting room with caution.
