Chapter 6 - 6th Chapter

After three hours we left for home. Tanushree is acting a bit drunk because of drinking. But she is still conscious. She was not completely drunk. She had to be carried to the car. And this is what Marshall has done for me. Because even though I am acting like I am her lover.

The car is moving at its own speed. It cannot be said that the night was bad. In the middle! Tanushree was sitting quietly in the car till now. But she suddenly came forward by filling both of our seats. She turned on the music. I was shocked by her actions. I looked at Marshall the same way. He smiled and shook his head,

' Get used to it. This is one of her daily activities. You can say that.'

I let out a sigh. But it came out of my voice as a scream. I felt a pull on my hair. This is done by Tanushree. I was angry. I looked back. She giggled. She began to sing along to the beat of the song.

'I can make your life a livin' hell

If I wanted to, wanted to.

Wish this was a love that you never felt

And you know it's true, know it's true.'

All the hairs on my body stood up when I heard her singing. I could feel it. An unknown current of fear ran through my body. I remained silent. At least it's true that she's really going to make my life a living hell. And it's a different form of her love for me than I've ever felt. But I'm going to do it soon. I heard the marshal yelling.

'Tanu, watch what you are doing. You're not that drunk. I will be forced to complain to Mr. Shekhar.'

Tanushree smiled in reply. I failed to hear other words in her loud laughter. Then she replied,

'It's okay. Do it. But father can't stop me. '

I didn't dare to say anything. But her smile suggests that she is nothing but a madwoman. What normal people can laugh like this?

' Even if Mr. Shekhar could not, Dr. Green certainly can.'

Tanushree's smile stopped at Marshall's sentence. I was quite surprised. At the same time I became curious. Who is Dr. Green? She became silent as soon as she heard his name! But I decided to keep quiet. I planned to discuss this with Marshall later.

When we reached home Tanushree was asleep. And I had to repeat the same task. But in this journey, the work was more. Because it is not an easy task to climb the stairs with Tanushree in my arms. I put Tanushree to bed and left her room. A servant was working in the living room. I called him.

'Mr… can you help me a bit?'

The man turned to me and smiled. 'Yes,' he replied, nodding his head. 'Anything, sir.'

' Oh, don't tell me sir. I'm Dominic.'

'Well.'

'Can I have some pain killer?'

'Yes, wait a minute.'

He left for a moment as I smiled and nodded. And came back with a pot of medicine. He handed me the hammer and said,

'Dr. Green told me to give this medicine if ma'am is intoxicated.'

I took the medicine in my hand and turned it around. This is not a common pain reliever. I looked at the man again. I asked him, 'Your name?'

'It's Robert.'

'Robert, who is this Dr. Green? Tansi is afraid of him, right?'

'I apologize Dominic. I don't know much information. But Dr. Green treated her for some time. Like a few years. I don't know anything more than that.'

'Well, thank you.'

I left with a smile. Only one thing worried me on the way back. Dr. Green has treated Tanushree for years? But why? She faced such a problem?

When I returned to Tanushree's room she was mumbling something in her sleep. I failed to hear it. With a medicine and water I forced the sleeping Tanushree to sit up. I could clearly see the look of annoyance on her face. But she has to consume it. And I made her take the medicine successfully.

When I got up to leave his room again she grabbed my arm and stopped me. I looked at her in surprise. She tried in vain to look through his sleepy eyes. I sat next to her head. I put my ear close to her mouth to listen.

' Domin, don't you ever cheat on me again. Please, don't leave me.'

I felt thirsty listening to the words that came out of her mouth. I felt guilty. I felt this regret long ago. But today in a new way.

I kissed the back of her hand and left her room. I came to my room and drank water. I couldn't sleep at night until I took sleeping pills.

---

The light of dawn has not yet completely illuminated the world. I have a habit of waking up early in the morning. My daily morning routine is to do some physical exercise, then take care of the small garden and finally prepare breakfast and go to school. Nothing differ happened today.

One or two people are seen on the streets. The cool morning breeze is trying to cool my sweaty body. The dew drops on the grass are sticking to my shoes. Flock of birds are leaving the house and chirping. I run between enjoying these. In other words jogging.

I have come a long way. I have to go home now. Otherwise I will be late for school. So I turned around and started running again. As I neared my home a girl caught my attention. She seemed familiar to me. She herself went jogging. I slowed down a bit.

She is the new girl in school. What is her name? Tam… tan…. I begged myself but failed to remember her name. I approached her. My body is kind of tired. I said to the girl with bated breath,

'Good morning.'

The girl glared at me. Then she returned her gaze. She replied in a soft voice.

'Morning.'

The word good is missing in her reply. I tried to increase the conversation.

'We've met before, right? Same school.'

'Yah… you are my senior.'

'Where's your sister?'

'What do you want?' the girl asked me directly.

Realized that it would not be an easy task for me. I smiled. I looked at the road and said,

'Okay, I'm Dominic. And I want to know your name.'

'It's Tanushree.'

' Tansi! Beautiful name.'

I looked at Tanushree. She looks at me angrily but tries to control her anger. I did not understand the reason.

'The correct pronunciation is Ta-nu-shree.'

I realized I mispronounced. I correctly said 'Tansi.''

'Ta-nu-Shree.'

She tried to make me pronounce it more and more. But I uttered the same words. And she was completely angry. She suddenly poured full water from her water bottle on my head. I stood there dumbfounded.

'It was just a waste of time,' said Tanushree angrily.

I smiled a little and said, 'Nice to meet you too.'

Tanushree tried to say something but didn't say anything. She crossed the road and entered the house opposite. But is it the home of Tanushree? Or does she live here? It means we are neighbors. I smiled arrogantly and entered my house, slamming the gate behind me.
