Days flew by in the blink of an eye, and Axel found himself almost camping on the secret floor. Ever since his sister-in-law asked him for a favor, she had been here for days. Axel had informed the chief that the secret floor was still occupied and everyone should take a few days off.
"What is she doing?" he muttered, tapping the end of his pencil against the paper in front of him. He craned his neck over the monitor, catching Heaven's silhouette. "Doesn't she have any plans to go home? She's been here for days now."
It was getting concerning. Dominic would visit her at night, but Heaven would simply apologize and say she couldn't come home yet. Axel had asked his brother about Heaven's activities, but Dominic would just shrug.
A faint beep interrupted Axel's thoughts, and he glanced instinctively at his watch. It was noon. Lunchtime. Axel wordlessly pushed himself away from the desk, eyes lingering on Heaven.
