Initially, Charlotte wasn't expecting anything anymore. Although he thought that being on good terms with Hera made her happy, she was also conflicted by the fact Florence was already dead.
"She was found under the ruins, so it's not possible to return her in one piece. However, I thought you still might want to host a burial for her."
Charlotte's eyes softened as he gazed down at the urn. He pursed his lips and all the shock and questions in his mind quickly disappeared. Regardless if Florence was his sister or his mother, Charlotte was still grateful to her.
Florence might not have shown her heart to Charlotte, but the latter knew at one point that Florence loved him genuinely. He might be wrong, but that was what he wanted to believe.
Was his real parentage that important?
At this point, Charlotte regained clarity. Harsh as it may sound, but both the late master Oxley and Florence were dead while he was left to live another day.
