"Mom?" Sixteen-year-old Hera looked at the gorgeous woman eating across from her. "How did you know Dad is the one?"
The beautiful middle-aged woman slowly chewed the steak while looking at her daughter. "That's an interesting question."
"He was your target," Hera shrugged indifferently. "Why didn't you kill him?"
"If I killed your father, I wouldn't have given birth to you."
"And you regret giving birth to me."
"That is only because I realized you deserve better than the life we could give you," Felice clarified playfully before she took a sip from the wine. "At this age, you could've been out in a club, partying with your friends. Meeting boys I would never approve of, arguing with your mom, and blaming me for every little failed decision you make."
Hera laughed while Felice placed down the glass of wine.
