Gu Yang was a rare hypnotist, and the only SSS-rank Mutant on record. Her role required conducting numerous experiments, many of which were related to mental strength. Each time she carried out these experiments, Gu Jin and Xiao Yize accompanied her, leaving Feng Jue on his own several times.
Xiao Yize had been unable to recruit Gu Yang and Gu Jin into the Mutant Division, and only then did he recall that Feng Jue, her brother-in-law, was an SS-grade Mutant. To lure him in, Xiao Yize invited Feng Jue, using Gu Yang as bait, promising that if he joined the Mutant Division, he could frequently visit with her.
Xiao Yize's ulterior motive was to have Feng Jue join the department so he could assign him as Lin Ran's envoy and make him work overtime. Feng Jue saw through this scheme and politely declined with a smile, saying, "I'll follow Sister. If Sister joins, I'll join."
