Robert gazed at her with delight in his eyes. Despite the fear he saw in her eyes, she looked absolutely stunning.
It had been easy to overlook her special qualities when he kept his feelings hidden, but now that he had decided to face his fears, she had become his greatest fear.
"Please, eat first," he said.
Giselle's hands were trembling so much that the glass of cranberry juice she picked up shook in her grasp. Robert quickly came to her rescue, leaning in and taking the glass from her.
"Let me help you," he said.
He fed her the drink, causing her cheeks to blush. When she regained her composure, she found him so close that she could feel his warm breath on her face.
Giselle's heart raced uncontrollably, fearing that Robert would hear it. She quickly pulled away.
