Giselle was on her way to get emergency contraception, before remembering that she hadn't informed her boss that she was going out for a while.
The pharmacy was about fifteen minutes away, so she predicted spending a little more than thirty minutes, which wouldn't go unnoticed. As such, she returned to inform Robert before leaving her office.
"I'm going to…" Giselle paused, afraid of lying to him but also could not tell him the truth. "Get lunch."
Robert, already knowing what she wanted to go and get, replied saying, "Don't worry about that. Mark promised to send the delivery guy."
Giselle bit her lower lip, instantly thinking about another excuse to give. She forced a smile.
"Good. Then let me get a painkiller for my headache at the pharmacy."
Robert was disheartened that she didn't want to open up to him, but how could he blame her?
