Devin acknowledged that while he accepted Robin as Sabrina's husband and respected him, he never felt a deep connection with him that would allow him to share his personal problems.
He simply didn't see Robin in that light.
"I apologize, but it doesn't mean that I haven't accepted you," he honestly admitted.
Robin let out a sigh and spoke calmly, "If being family is too difficult for you, you can consider me a good friend. I can't replace Martin in your life, and I don't want to."
"I would hate you if you were him," Devin said, and they both shared a laugh. Then Robin began to explain things slowly.
"But honestly, Devin, I love Sabrina so much, and that love extends to anyone she loves as well."
Devin understood that Robin wanted him to open up, but he also recognized that Robin had a lot on his plate, managing multiple companies.
"But you're also busy," he pointed out. Robin shook his head in disagreement.
