The gathering had dissolved the mayors had started going back to their settlements. And the Commanders at The Castle, the home of the minutemen.
They sit at a table where it is reserved for high-ranking minutemen.
At the table sat the commanders, and the still unfilled spot at the head of the table were General Nate Once sat. "What should NO, how should we deal with this disaster in wait?!" Said by head Commander Long. Commander Garvey was thinking, "How I miss General Nate and how he made the minutemen great again."
They had decided that they would go with their forces to destroy as many camps as possible and forts. The other commanders agree with head commander Longs proposal. "We will head out tomorrow!" By this time, it was around eleven at night. They went to sleep.
In the morning the 5 came together and said their goodbyes. As they set off with their forces. Commander Garvey's head scout came and reported invaluable information.
"Sir, we encountered a group of Enclave, and they are pillaging Hang Man's Allie!" said in a breathless action. "Then we will go to save our first settlement on our way to save the rest of the commonwealth from this invader!"
They rushed there as fast as a small army could run while they trip on their own feet. Upon arrival the group saw the smoldering ashes of a burning town. The people were running in their direction. As the mob of people approach commander Garvey, they throw accusations such as this is your fault, you are just too slow, and This way General Nate didn't choose you to be The Head Commander. This put Commander Garvey into a state of stupor because of his past action.
"We tried to move as fast as we could" said in a deprived Tone of despair.
The Mob replied in a mermerd tone "That's, not an excuse."
"Then, … I'M JUST NOT GOOD A NUFF FOR YOU PEOPLE!"
The crowd frowned in what seemed to be astonishment. "You people have no morals," said Commander Garvey. "General Nate would be ashamed of you" stated commander Garvey. The people said, "What would you know!". As the crowd gathered around Commander Garvey while they pressured him with rebuttals and comments, while they chanted get rid of you.
As a result of their actions, they pressured him to the point of breaking he bent his head down and could not breathe he held his chest like he was dying of a heart attack but this was not the end he snapped up and yelled at them clear away "What could I do," he said with heartache and a soul. His face is red as a tomato with tears streaming down his eyes causing the crowd to be baffled this act was never seen before. They've never seen a commander cry! They've were always seen as strong and fearless with no feelings, but great honor. This is the first time; they recognize them as human's fellow humans. This forced them to feel regret for their actions.
The crowd tried to apologize to commander Garvey, but it was already too late. Commander Garvey yelled in anger "What, what if I did this to you!". After short period of silence, they tried to apologize again, but commander Garvey was not having this distress. In a sound voice commander Garvey said, "I'm done I can't handle this no more!". The crowd said, "did we hear you right?" "You heard me right… I am done!" said Commander Garvey. This left the crowd with gaping open mouths like they were gasping for air. They knew that they screwed up there was nothing they could fix they lost one of their greatest commanders to their own stupidity. After the realization some draft for their knee's others started praying to God others started crying. Commander Garvey just stood up in a stoic way and he walked away with no vigor.
Commander Garvey walked away and secretly smirked. He finally left the Minutemen after his long service to the people of the Commonwealth. And those people of the Commonwealth are the ones to force him to leave. He found that funny rhetorically even one of commander Garvey's longest and greatest subordinates followed him he asked if he would if he was truly leaving commander Garvey said to Lieutenant Longfellow "I am truly leaving I can no longer handle these people ,and these people no longer support me so I'm truly done." in a calm voice. Lieutenant Longfellow said "I wish you would stay but I cannot stop you as you are my great commander and I shall not defy your wishes if you must go you may go… but so you know you have a home here and if you need lodging anytime just ask I can get you into one of my acquaintances I have many favors around this area." Lieutenant Longfellow smiled and said, "goodbye old friend we will miss you." Commander Garvey strolled away while waving goodbye to his old friend.
After commander Garvey walked out of distance to the point he cannot be seen anymore Lieutenant Longfellow went back to the unit to report to what happened to the commander they displayed their disappointment to Lieutenant Longfellow he said "that he made the decision and that they could no longer change it it's out of our control and now it's up to us to continue this fight from now on I'm the new commander, commander Longfellow.". The unit said "Yes Sir" I have a great respect for Lieutenant Longfellow that eventually became the commander of the unit.
They were all sad though for their favorite Commander, commander Garvey had left them because of the incident with the civilians they had claim to the people that they were evil and villainous. They had started to walk away from civilians, and the civilians had begged them to stay. But they don't care for their concerns. As they walked away they contemplated who would become the commander and as a result the newly appointed commander Longfellow announced that commander had put him in charge of the unit. The rest had sit reassured since they had held commander Garvey in high regard. They had accepted that lieutenant Longfellow had become Commander Longfellow.
They had asked in down tone "What now? "Commander Longfellow said "We must complete the mission we were sent out to complete, the mission to take out the threat of the Commonwealth for the greater good." They stated, "For the Commonwealth!"
"What do I do now?" Preston Garvey formerly, Commander Garvey asked himself. "I guess that this adventure is…" Preston Garvey says as he hears cries for help from an alleyway a little boy cries a his mother is bleeding out from a stab wound the Mother says to her son "Don't worry honey I will always be with and there is something I must tell *As she gasping for air * I must tell you about your father he didn't just go out for milk he helped the whole of the Commonwealth his name was…" As she about to tell the little boy about his father she sadly passed away. Preston had watched this young boy lose his mother and tried to console him. The boy wailed in agony as he had just lost his last parent and is all alone now.
Preston Asked his name, the boy said, "My name sir is Garyemy". Preston scruffs his hair and say's "What a lovely name, your mother is good at naming". Garyemy Say's "But my mother didn't name me, but my father did.". "Well then, your father is good at naming" Preston says. Preston smiles and as he starts to ponder where is Garyemy Father is, Preston's face turns to a frown as a result. Garyemy says "Are you okay mister?". Preston's states, "I'm fine don't worry bud." Preston glances back at Garyemy and smiles at him reassuringly.
Preston said to Garyemy, "Where do you live". Garyemy said sadly, "My home was attacked by these men in armor that is mechanical, and we were pillaged". "How about this bud in what direction was your settlement." Preston asked in a soft tone Garyemy say in a solemn tone, "It's north". Preston thinks in his head there a few settlements north of here I can think of three settlements on the tip of my head Starlight drive, Covent, and TaffingTon Boathouse, but I wonder Which of the three it is I guess that I'll find out which it is when he takes me there.
"Hey kid take me to your home" Preston asked, Garyemy Said "It's that way". Garyemy pointed past a broken-down bridge. "That way?" Preston asked question Ly. "Yea" Garyemy said with a satisfied smile. Preston says, "Let's go then". They walk at a moderate pace, as they stroll through the city. As they strolled, they heard shuffling next to a trash can, Preston pulled out his Laser musket and put a power cell in the camber and cranks. Preston's action of loading his laser musket set of what ever came out of the trash can. It jumped at Preston, knocked him to the ground, and Preston shoved the creature from him. The thing hit the trash can and we heard a crack of bones breaking. When Preston threw it off him, he broke it legs it stood there and tried to craw away, but Preston got to it and put his foot on it. He had decided to kill the poor thing. Preston pulled his laser musket and aimed it at the creature. He was about to pull the trigger, but Garyemy ran in the way of the laser musket. Garyemy Said "Let's take it with us". Preston was so confused that he lowered his weapon and asked "What?". "Garyemy, you know what Mole Rats dangerous Right are?" Preston asked.
"Yes, I know but I believe we should spare the Mole Rat" Garyemy, defended. Preston asked, "Why should we spare the Mole Rat, and even if we spare it, it will suffer from the crippling wound." Preston answered blankly. "The Mole Rat deserves a second chance for live, maybe it could be useful to use later!" Garyemy Pleaded. Preston sighed and said, "Fine but you are taking care of it." Preston put away his Laser musket. As Preston slung the laser musket over his shoulder Mole Rat growled at Garyemy. And threaten to bite him as Garyemy tried to pick up the Mole Rat. Garyemy went the back of the mole Rat and grabbed it by its leg's. The Mole Rat squirmed and wallered in Garyemy's arms. As it tried to flee from him. "Hold it still" Preston demanded; he had grabbed an old dog collar. He shoved the collar onto it. Preston shoved it so hard down the neck it squealed in agony. It attempted to escape Garyemy's` arms, as it tried to push against the sides of Garyemy's arm, and scratches Garyemy's arms and a small amount of blood to leak
