"My dear, Devon."
Those words came from a very familiar voice and they kept echoing in his mind until he finally opened his eyes.
"Where am I?" He muttered before raising both of his hands.
He could tell he was on a very soft bed but his vision was too blurry to identify the things around him or figure out where he was.
That was the moment he felt a movement by the side of the bed and when he turned his gaze there, he found someone there, someone dressed in a white nightgown.
He couldn't tell who but she looked really familiar.
"Mother?" He muttered with a confused expression on his face.
It took only a couple of seconds before the person turned to him and burst into a feat of laughter.
"Mother." She chuckled.
"I know that voice." He grumbled before squinting.
He had to rub his eyes with both of his hands to be able to see her face clearly but his vision was still a bit off.
