The bear quickly came charging toward them once again forcing the two to clear the path for it.
It took down a good number of the trees in the area with its body as Aurora took off to the left and Devon to the right.
Aurora was starting to get a hold of herself because she knew she needed to do something or else this was going to end terribly for them.
There was just no way that she was going to get close to that thing with her sword so she the next thing that came to her mind.
She quickly dipped her hands into her pockets and brought out two small blades which she quickly sent flying toward the bear.
She was expecting the blades to at least pierce through its body but they ended up just bouncing off its body like a blade against a hard rock without the clanging sound.
"Huh?" She gasped in shock as the bear quickly turned its gaze to her.
"Rarrrrrrr." The beast roared as its voice thundered through the forest forcing the birds close by to quickly flee.
That roar covered a lot of ground in the forest which meant that there was no way that the adventurers who were still extracting the crystals from the jackals could not have heard it.
"That's a master-tier beast, Aurora, there's no way that's going to work," Devon grunted before he sent a blade flying toward the bear.
It bounced off its body as expected but he wasn't trying to harm it anyway, what he was trying to do was to get its attention away from Aurora and to him.
That worked quite well for him because the bear quickly turned its gaze to him as soon as the blade hit its body and let out a loud growl.
It was pretty confusing how it was reacting to something that wasn't even able to graze its skin.
'I just wish you weren't master tier.'
He believed that if the bear was to charge toward him just like it did earlier, he would have enough time to get out of the way but that was an assumption he shouldn't have made without knowing any of the bear's special abilities.
He was expecting the bear to charge toward him but just within the blink of an eye the beast disappeared from where it was standing and popped up right in front of him.
"Huh?"
He suddenly felt shrills run down his spine as his life suddenly flashed before his eyes.
The bear did not hold back in sending him flying with its right hand.
That was a deadly hit that sent him flying until he crashed against the tree just in the way, he could have gone further down if that tree had not been there.
"Ow…ow….ow…" Devon groaned as he slowly tried to sit up against the tree trunk.
'Teleportation, so that's how it got behind us without making a sound.'
His right sleeve was almost completely torn out to reveal his arm which was covered in blood now.

[ 55/100 HP ]
That could have ended way worse for him if he had not put his arm in the way on time, it could have been his chest or worse his face and his eyes wouldn't have escaped it.
He was also lucky that it was just a hit, it could have been way worse if the bear's claws had gone deep into his arm.
"No, Devon." Aurora stuttered with a horrid look on her face.
She knew she had to quickly rush over there to move him out of there but her legs just wouldn't move no matter how hard she tried.
Her heart was pounding way too fast, her hands were trembling and so were her legs.
'Come on, Aurora, get a hold of yourself!' She screamed in her mind and it was only then that she was able to take a step forward.
The bear was slowly heading toward Devon now, it could have teleported but maybe he thought there was no need for that now that its prey was helpless.
Devon could have easily teleported them out of them from the start or teleported himself out of the situation he was in right now, but there was a problem.
[ Energy level: 9/100 ]
[ Normal Energy: 63/100 ]
Using swap a couple of times before and then using teleport twice seemed to have drained his energy level.
Having his normal energy be a bit fuller in a situation like this could have helped and that would have been the case if he had gotten anything meaningful into his stomach in the morning.
He also had to fight Elena and that also lowered his normal energy a bit more.
'And I was saving this just in case we encounter any problems when we try to take the crystals but, oh well.'

[ Please confirm the process ]
[ Confirm/reject ]
The bear had already gotten close enough to him now and was just about to take a step further, the step before the blow just as he was about to confirm the process.
However, before either of them could complete either of that something came flying straight toward the bear and ended up smashing straight into its face.
Devon wasn't able to see what that was but he saw a flash of white as it zoomed past him.
Now that was something that could hurt the bear. The beast let out a growl before staggering a few feet back and almost crashing to the floor in the process.
That was the moment Aurora finally snapped out of her daze or maybe it was because the bear had staggered pretty close to her now.
She quickly made her way to Devon who still had his back against the tree and just as she got to him, she picked him up and retreated to a part of the area with enough trees and bushes to cover them from getting spotted by the bear.
"You idiot, you told me the blades weren't going to work and still went ahead to throw yours." She whispered with a shaky voice.
"I was just trying to…" He groaned before slowly sitting up on the floor.
"You were trying to turn its attention away from me." She completed it for him. "I never told you to do that."
"Yeah, but things like this just sort of happen in situations like this." He replied before trying to put on a smile but it was obvious that he was in serious pain.
"Just keep quiet." She retorted with a doleful voice. "Just who are you trying to deceive." She added before slowly turning her gaze to his right arm which was still bleeding.
"Oh," Devon muttered after following her gaze to see where she was looking at.
She unsheathed her Katana blade which was on her back before taking off her hood to reveal the thin brown sleeveless top she was wearing inside.
She used her sword to cut a part of the hood's sleeves and he proceeded to use that to cover his wounded arm.
The process of tying that around his arm felt pretty painful but he had to keep his voice down because of the bear which was still out there.
"There." She said as soon as she was done tying it around his arm. "Now let's just hope that thing doesn't find us and leaves soon."
"Even if it finds us, we'll still make it out easily." He remarked.
"Huh?"
The bear had been sniffing the air trying to find the two since they went into hiding.
It was doing that as he slowly doing that as it moved around and so far there seemed to be nothing until it turned to a particular area and took a sniff.
It suddenly came to a pause as it seemed to have found what it was looking for but just before it could take a step toward the area, a very powerful force of wing came flying its way.
It sent it flying straight toward the trees in the area and just as it crashed into them, it ended up bringing down about seven of them.
"Wow, a master tier, looks like we'll have to do this one together." The blonde-haired adventurer remarked as he walked into the area alongside his partner.
"Or I could just do it alone." Rufus drawled before dragging his axe in front of him.
The bear was quite enraged now as it sent two of the tree trunks around it flying before quickly springing up from the floor.
"Rarrrrrrrr!"
That was an even louder roar than the one they heard when they were still extracting crystals from the jackals.
"You sure about that? It looks really mad now."
